I know this post is old but I love your set!  Your band is unique and beautiful!

I’m happy with the size (.5 carat) and the setting is beautiful,  but I wish I had gotten a princess cut stone.

also, I might take my ring in to get the band bulit up to be thicker.

I was for about 3 seconds!  It was really important to Fiance to choose the ring so I wasn’t part of the shopping process.  I specifically said I did NOT want a princess cut diamond.  And that’s exactly what I got!  At first I could not get passed it, but the ring is beautiful and my style.  Once I really thought about why I didn’t want a princess cut it’s because it’s so popular not necessarily that I didn’t like it.  Now I love the ring because it is indeed beautiful and he chose it and is so proud of it.  But I didn’t have my moment of “I said I didn’t want a princess!”  not aloud of course LOL

I was no where near disappointed, but I was a little caught off guard(in addition to the actual act of getting engaged, duh) about the ring – it’s exactly what I wanted, but more.  I always thought I wanted an oval solitaire in a plain, flat, low white gold setting.. no side stones or anything.  What I got was one hell of an oval perched atop a white gold band with 5 perfect round diamonds on each side.  I’m in love with this ring, the person it came from and what it represents… but it definitely took me a minute to realize that this new thing was the replacement for the picture I’d had in my head all along.  It’s awesome.

Nope, I love my ring! I purposefully didn’t look at rings or learn much about them before he proposed, because I didn’t want to get set on something in my head and wanted to be able to enjoy the surprise. And, when he did propose, it was BEAUTIFUL! It was so different than anything I had pictured and was bigger than I had anticipated.

I love it ALMOST as much as I love him, but not quite as much.

i love my e-ring, i went looking at rings with Fiance a year before we got engaged and i picked the band and the diamond and he went on his own to  have it custom made with  my choices.  the ONLY thing i will admit i was a little disappointed about was the size. only because in the store we looked at had 1/4 and 1/3 carats. i did not want (nor could we afford) a big diamond. i always liked small jewelery.  in fact, i saw the 1/4 carat first and thought it was perfect.  then of course the store lady showed me the 1/3 and i was like “oh, i like that even better!”  it was just even more perfect.   Fiance knew this but then months later he calls the store and they totally screwed him over. never put his order in the computer and no longer has my ring available.  luckily he told me and i knew where else he could get it.

BUT the other store he could get it was Kays and for the heart shaped diamond i wanted, they only had 1/4 and 1/2 carat. Fiance said he was going to get 1/2, but they told him it would not fit on the band i wanted.  so he got 1/4.  so basically it was all he could get.

it is still my dream ring and i LOVE it.  but i can admit that *sometimes* i wish the diamond was a LITTLE bigger.  FI said we could upgrade it in the future but i said no way, this is the ring he proposed with and the one i shall keep forever!

here is my beauty.

Oh Gosh!! I had a really random ring dream last night!!

I have a very specific ring in mind.. and have made that clear to my SO so there are no dissapointments ring wise. The ring for me is a BIG deal (my love of diamonds started early) 😉

So in my dream he proposed with the OPPOSITE ring to everything I want (the bad part)

(I prefer white gold, 1 carat, brilliant cut with a plain band and he gave me a yellow gold princess with lots of embeleshments)

But I was absolutley thrilled and showed it off to everyone and could not have been happier!! (the good part)

But after a little while I started getting upset because it wasn’t what I wanted in the end. (bad again)

I have spent wayyyy to much time on this site!! lol

I love whatever my hubby give to me. Because we have the similar taste.

So…the love is the most important part and one day you would love you ring when you find your man is the best! ^^
