@cstarkwe:  YAY! I think they look great. Though the one in the back — where the flowers are coming out the top– not sure i that’s a “done” one, but that’s the only one that looks off. the submerged is great!
ETA: sorry just reread your post. you said ignore that back one 😉

Love it! On the vases with the spider mums, I would make the stems shorter so that the flower head is about 2 inches below the top of the water

Nope — I even pinned it I love it so much! I’ve seen this kind of decor a couple times before and have been planning on doing something like it as well. We don’t want to spend a ton on flowers, so we’re planning on using a lot of candles to give the reception space a romantic vibe. I think you did a great job putting these together.

@futureboo:  This is what i was talking about, i think that the stems should be cut a but so there is a gap between the flower and the candle

I think they’re quite nice! I love the submerged orchid. Not the green one so much though. Good job!!

@cstarkwe:  or maybe just cut them a bit so that there is a gap between the flowers and the candle, then it would mask/eliminate the stem some.

I love them! If you want to give the bottoms more weight you could use river stones, they sell them at dollar stores for about $1 per bag, would need maybe 1-1.5 per cylinder, unless you prefer the lighter sparkley stones you have which are also pretty, for me they’d feel more organic and grounded with darker stones at the bottom. Def don’t look cheap to me, especially the orchids!
