    I don’t know, I get exactly the same way when I have a new project.  So if that is not normal, then we can be not normal together 🙂

    I think the room is so adorable and am loving the plates.

    I love it, it looks great.

    You are not the only one who gets excited like that. I’m like a little kid, I get excited with everything hehe

    It’s totally normal, and that room looks beautiful!  If it makes you feel any better, I get VERY excited when I get new………………hamster tubes.  Like, for my hamster, a 9-year-old boys pet.  You know, those tubes that connect with each other so the hamster can run all over the place “outside” her cage?

    Yes, those.  Hahaha.

    If you ever feel lame, I can tell you more ridiculous things that I get excited about, lol.

    **sidenote: that pic is from the internet, not of my personal setup!

    Yesterday I got excited about bringing a bunch of kale and two spaghetti squash home.  ??  I’d never made them before so it was like bringing home new toys.

    @MrsFuzzyFace: I don’t think it’s all that odd. Lol.

    I think we all have our oddities that we get excited over. For me? New organizational stuff. I love closet organizers, drawer organizers, neat little books that you can fill in (like, the bills.)

    And Fiance loves new colored pencils and coloring car drawings (aka the grown man’s coloring book, he’d be so pissed I’m telling people.)

    I obsessed over the rug I bought for my dining room for several hours, so I can’t pass judgement.

    Hell, I get excited when I find leftover chocolate chips or sprinkles in the back of my fridge.

    Mail for house decorating and shopping is like happy dance for hours.

    Im currently awaiting a new set of pots and pans. As in cookware. As in something I already own, but wanted new so the kitchen would be “pretty”. And you know I am so effing excited!!!!!!! Lol

    @AmeliaBedelia: oh Fiance was looking for those books and a model car kit for months. We couldn’t find them anywhere!

    My Fiance loves new socks. He has brought up his new sock purchase at least four times in two days.

    I think in order to truely answer this question, you need to look at two things.

    1. Do you ever get this excited over experiences?

    2. Is it the “thing” you’re excited about, or the project that the “thing” represents (decorating your daughters room).

    I love clothing, decorating, and all that frivoless stuff. When I order clothing online, and I see that brown box on my doorstep, I do get excited. It’s like a present.

    But, I’m excited about what I can do with the clothes, too. How I will wear them, the cool places i could wear them to.

    I get just as excited about the experiances in my life (moreso, really) as I do the things I have around me, so I feel like I have a healthy balance.

    Oh I sure hope it is normal. I am super stoked, I needed some pretty pillows for my couch and since I didn’t have $25 or $30 to buy one (BTW why is that only the really ugly or neon colored pillows at Walmart aren’t like $20 a piece?) I spent $10 to get material to make like 3.

    @MrsFuzzyFace: That room looks awesome!

    First, that room looks amazing, wonderful job! Second, I get overly excited just thinking about decorating. I could spend hours in Home Goods, Bed Bath and Beyond and all similar stores. I watch all the decorating shows on HGTV and live on their website. So to me your excitement is completely normal.
