Hi Can you elaborate on what you are looking for?  Its hard to answer this question.

Are you looking for ideas for a unique "fairy tale" wedding?

I’m with your FI; don’t arbitrarily pick a Disney princess to base your wedding on. You can easily have a princess-type theme without picking a specific fairy tale. You can have a crown motif on your cake, you can wear a giant ballgown, you can have things look "royal" or "frou frou" without throwing in glass slippers, spinning wheels, or frogs everywhere. 😉

Watch the movie the Princess Diaries for inspiration 🙂

Maybe you can ask the gal over at Snippet and Ink to help with inspiration. She might like the challenge.

Why don’t you try and lean towards Giselle?  The new princess from Disney’s Enchanted?

They are selling TONS of "big girl"  accessories and more at the  Disney shops, and I just picked up my own "Enchanted" necklace yesterday after I saw the movie  at a Disney theatre.

The look of Giselle’s wedding is Frou Frou and should fit your bill!

Feathers, rich fabrics like silk and velvet, gold, rhinestone or crystal accents, horse-and-carriage, long silk gloves, cozy cushions on four poster beds, china teacups, fleur-di-lis, tiaras, pearls, sashes, candlelight, ringlets…that’s what I think of when I think "princess" in the classic sense. Sounds like fun!!

There is also apparently a "princess flower" (in royal purple, of course!); it’s at the bottom of this page:
