Hey for you Bees that were married on the beach, did your dress get ruined? I heard some ppl say that their dress had looked as if it was ran thru cat litter!!!! YIKES!!! My friend and I said we think that mt dress should be fine as long as the sand has been smooth out and as long as the sand isn’t moist. What do you think?

@June232012: I would plan on carrying your dress while you’re on the beach and just putting it down for pictures. If you can have some sort of aisle runner (if the ceremony is on the beach) that might help too. I haven’t been to a beach wedding, but I think that will minimize the damage.

@June232012: I’m not married yet, however this was a big concern. I plan on doing a trash the dress session with my photographer and sat down with her explaining that i REALLY didnt want to actually TRASH my dress. she kinda chuckled and said that almost every bride says that same thing and altough, yes, they dress may look kinda nasty… almost 110% of the time, it can be cleaned out. I hope she’s right…

I got married on a beach, did pictures on a beach and all over the resort. And after dinner we had a bonfire party right on the beach! And yes, my dress got soooooooo freakin’ dirty, I just had to let it go and not care so I could enjoy my wedding. I was a bit stressed at first as I was planning to sell my dress, but after a while I was just too happy and having too much fun to care. here is the best part. I waited a few months before even bringing it to the cleaners after my wedding and when I got it back from the cleaners I was FLOORED!!! It looked brand new! Sooo clean, they got every bit of dirt out! The bottom had especially looked like the sand was stained, but sand and dirt don’t stain I guess!

My dress got dirtier at our inside reception than it did on the beach. (There was a month in between, I got it cleaned in between the events.)

I was concerned about this as well and was told that cleaners do an amazing job with wedding dresses, even after trash the dress wedding shoots! Hope that’s true!
