I’m planning our 25th Wedding Vow Ceremony and just got the beach permit. It says no music allowed (props)………gah, tell me it’s going to be ok. I have a friend’s children playing the guitar and singing a song (one only) for my processional song. I’m not giving that up. But, I just can’t imagine no music for the rest of the ceremony…..so bummed. Fortunately, the beach will not be that crowded, 7pm on 5/21, so, perhaps, I can think of something like “quiet music” from an Ipod to play? Nothing blaring or anything that might disturb anyone else of course. As in life, sometimes, the best laid plans go astray–first, my officiant changed his mind (my Dad), and, I’m having a hard time finding a photographer, and, now this………Oh Bees, just say it’s ok. A natural setting, serene beach with beautiful vows is all I need, right?

Exactly right! It’s going to be beautiful!
If you want music, what about having some one sing?

Are you sure it’s no music at all, or just no amplified music?
I kinda doubt a cop will come bust up a wedding if someone is playing a guitar.

I think it’ll be fine! You’ll have the sound of the waves in the background. It’ll be beautiful!

Ok, thanks ladies for talking me off the ledge! Just a little moment of insanity clicking in……I think Jedeve is right, it’s no amplified music. I also rec’d the paperwork today in the mail from the new officant, and he has some contact for locals to hire (violinists, uekele, bagpipes…quite the range) so it’s just going to be ok as he even mentions to have music ready in the “to do’s”…….sigh, breathe, relax……
