In my experience, wheelchairs are very incompatible with the beach, that’s why they have those special beach chairs with the giant yellow tires. I recommend getting a location with views of the beach like on the grass or a pier and have photos taken on the beach before or after the ceremony.

Depends on the beach… we got married in the Keys, where the sand tends to be hard-packed. We had a guest in a wheelchair and he had no problem getting around.

My first wedding was in the Keys as well, and my great uncle got around in the beach wheelchair the resort had as we weren’t right by the water but had to cross a good portion of beach to the ceremony spot.

I would ask your site or whatever hotel you and guests will be staying at – they should know where you can find that kind of chair.

Good luck!

my wedding is next week and I am getting married on the beach. One of my bridesmaids are in a wheelchair. The beach I am getting married on has something called mobi mats that she can wheel on from the boardwalk and then where they end we rented roll out walkway from the rental station…it’s just a rubber mat and it was pretty cheap and I have a runner that I am going to put down to cover it and then when we walk down..we’re going to step to the side so we can actually be standing in the sand! Hope that helps!!!
