I’m getting married July 30 and we want to take our honeymoon right after the wedding. I really would love to go to the Carribean because I want to do something special that we wouldn’t normally splurge on, but I know that’s right in the heart of hurrican season. I really don’t want to have our honeymoon cancelled at the last minute and I know I will stress about it, so I’m trying to figure out where the best weather would be.
Any suggestions on romantic, possibly all-inclusive and/or adults only resorts where we won’t risk being interefered with by a hurricane or super rainy weather?

Try Aruba, I’m pretty sure its so far down that they are hurricane “free”..and its gorgeous!

Usually the brunt of hurricane season is right at the end of august/beginning of september. I wouldn’t worry too much about hurricanes in the beginning. I can’t really remember one at the end of July and I’ve lived in a hurricane zone most of my life.

Hurricane season runs June thru November.
I would recommend St Lucia. It doesn’t sit outside the hurricane belt, but hasn’t had a direct hit in years and years. I would avoid the Caymans and Bahamas, as they tend to get hit more frequently.

We are date twins! The ABC islands are outside the hurricane belt- Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao. I briefly looked into these and heard that Bonaire was great for divers but they didn’t have the best beaches. So may not be the best honeymoon spot. My best friend went to the dominican republic in mid july and it rained 4 out of the 5 days. Tahiti and Fiji- it is their winter there so it’s still hot but not the rainy season. Also heard that people go to the Pacific side of Mexico.

Thanks for the ideas! I was thinking St. Lucia, good to know that they haven’t had a hit in a long time.
