I am always a fan of the immediately edible favour… never been a fan of the “random-trinket-with-someone-else’s-name”.

Therefore – I say non melting candy!  Jelly bellies in your colours?  (can get pricey)

General bulk candy?  You can buy little organza bags online for fairly good prices.  Then get a decent sized bag of candy.  Fill whenever.  I’m assuming that the guest list isn’t too massive, as it’s a destination wedding.

What about something that’s already there?  Can your destination provide anything?  Not sure how much it would be, but lots of destination places have photographers that roam during the week and take pictures.  Perhaps you could offer to buy them a family photo while they’re there (again, could get pricey).

Coozies might fit the bill! Good for keeping a drink cold on the beach

Hmmmm…I know this isn’t enough alone but what about including a fan? Especially because its on a beach, people might want to fan themselves with it.

@All In: Oh yeah Koozies are great!!!

I would say fans, which you could easily make yourself with some heavy cardtock, a printer, and popsickle sticks. Or, water… You can buy custom labels pretty cheap, or you could even throw them together yourself with double stick tape. I can’t see this being easy to travel, but depending where you go, you could just take the labels and then buy a few cases of water and maybe a big bucket to fill with ice. It is a little bit of assembly, but if it’s going to be hot, it may be nice….

I used these fans as a 2nd favor, the wedding was outside in August, and it was warm, so they were appreciated!  Not too expensive either!

I don’t know if you’ve found anything, but I made my own favour bags which are very easy and light to pack.  Then you can fill them with whatever you like once you get there (I’m doing macadamia nuts).

Such great ideas everyone has here! I’m also having a beach wedding in Hawaii, and for mine, I’m having personalized beach wedding favors made! They are easy to pack and won’t break — definitely not as fragile as glass or a frame! You can choose what kind of design you want — beaches, palm tress, surf boards — and get you and your SO’s name or wedding date printed on them.

It can get a little pricy depending on what you get, but you can always talk to the company and see what can be worked out for you. The site I’m getting them off of is called Ornaments and More.

Check out their beach ornamnets: http://www.ornamentsandmore.com/beach-ornaments.aspx

what about a local sweet? Ask the hotel for what is goof or just go to a supermarket and ask them? Or maybe a destination trail mix that you buy there? Nuts and dried fruit?
