I wore a wedge that made it easy to walk on the sand and they were super comfortable. Also on printrest there was a diy on how to turn plain flip flops into a dressy flip flop.

I bought THESE from Dessy.com for $30 and bought some E600 glue and gems from the craft store and made them look like this.  (It probably cost me $40-45 in the end. )

 

ETA: They were really great for walking in the sand after the wedding.
