LOL..when I asked my mom what I should do for a backup rain plan she said, “I guess wait until it stops raining”.  Easy for her to say since she won’t be there..we are having a planned elopment with just the two of us on the beach in USVI.

Oh I def have a back up plan.  Otherwise I would be freaking out.  If it is raining I can get married under the covered pavillion at the beach park I’m marrying at.  I already am having my reception there.  Won’t be on the sand, but is still on the beach and ocean still right there.

I also made sure to purchase wedding insurance as well just in case a hurricane decides to come to Florida in October(or before then).

I always plan for the worst.  I prefer to be prepared instead of having to figure out something last minute.

We are doing the ceremony on the sand and the reception in their large ballroom.

If it rains, we’ll be moving the ceremony inside to the ballroom. It’s obviously not as great as having our on-the-beach ceremony, but it won’t be awful, since the ballroom has these gorgeous 16-ft windows that we can exchange our vows in front of.

We don’t have a back up plan. Chance of rain in our location is near impossible during the summer, which is why we picked it. Now if it rains just cause I said that? I will die lol

We are doing a Beachfront Elopement / Destination Wedding in December… and rain (or cooler to cold temps) could be a possibility.

Our planned Officiant is affiliated with a Wedding Chapel as well… so if things don’t work out for the Day-Of in regards to weather, we’ll be exchanging our vows at the Chapel.

IF our First Choice in Officiant isn’t available for our chosen day … then our Back-Up Plan is to marry in our Hotel Room overlooking the Ocean (maybe on the Balcony out of the rain, if that is the weather concern… lol, there are just the 3 of us… Officiant, Bride & Groom, so space isn’t a big factor for us)
