Hehe we’re doing Red Sox stuff but I could see where you might stay away from that…

Boston Baked Beans (they’re a candy)

And I’m having a total brain cramp right now… hmm

Lobster stuff. Oooh maybe passes to use the duck boats? Or to visit one the museums?

For my bat mitzvah (I’m not engaged yet!) we did these for our out of towners. We put Cape Cod Potato Chips, Necco Wafers, Boston Baked Beans (candy), and a little map of the area i think. Oh and water!

I would stick with useful stuff! Boston related or not.

Although local maps or the T would be nice.

Our room block is at a hotel right off of Faneuil Hall so maps of the Quincy Market area, water bottles, cape cod chips….maybe gum or mints?

What kinds of bags is everyone using? I’m kinda stumped on that part

I would LOVE to buy reusable bags but our wedding is considered destination for most people because probably 80 to 90% of our guests need to travel to come to it and we don’t have the money to buy them.  So most likely we will go to iParty or the Dollar Tree and get a bunch of cheap bags.  I hate that they aren’t environmentally friendly but the budget just doesn’t allow it.

What’s everyone else doing?!

My Fiance and I are getting married in central Mass, but we live in San Francisco so we’re including treats that represent both cities. I bought re-useable canvas bags on cheaptotes.com for $.99 each. Here’s what we’ve got to put in them.

Boston bake beans (Amazon has them for cheap), Cape Cod chips, bottled water, I’m making sugar cookies with a MA shaped cookie cutter, instant starbuck coffee, Ghirardelli Squares, T map, Boston Map, Local information brochure from Central Mass. I also shopped at Target for misc things like; aspirin, pepto bismol, tums, mints, tea bags. I’m also planning to include a RedBox video rental coupon, hotel movies can cost so much!

Hope this helps!

We used the lunch size reusable shopping bags from Whole Foods: which were super reasonable price wise. Filled them with Water, Cape Cod Potato Chips, NECCOs, Lobster Lollipops, T Map and Charlie Card, Map of City and the Weekend Itinerary.

Most of it we purchased at Sam’s and  Christmas Tree Shops. But the Boston information brochures and maps we order/collected from Boston Toursim Board.

Now that I think about it…I am pretty sure I have a box of reusable Whole Food Bags left over!! Let me know if anyone is interested 🙂
