We have met with three florists and their prices range from $1,500 – $4,500 and my FH and I are getting fed up! We are on a tight budget and were looking to keep flowers to about $800 as we don’t consider ourselves flower people but feel they look nice/will fill space/couldn’t think of anything else that we really loved. We are NOT DIY people (and my that I mean can’t…not won’t…just scared of glue guns)
We also do not want to go crazy the day before the wedding. We don’t want it to look like we skimped (too much).
So I am looking for experiences from these or similar vendors or alternative ideas.
Bouts and Corsages – 12 of each, from Sam’s Club = $150
Bridesmaid’s Bouquets – 2 total DIY (yes I can do this!) with white hydrangeas from Sam’s Club = $50
Altar Decorations – 2 using fake flowers in colors (royal blue and white) to be bought from Michaels already assembled and transported to reception aftewards = $120
Centerpieces (this is where it gets tricky) 12 are going to be these fancy candle/votive holders from Target with blue ribbon = $100 and twelve are going to be from florist at $35 apiece (loved these and did not want to do them myself!) = $420
Total should be about $840 with an extra $60 for ribbons, pins, etc. = $900
Can I make it cheaper?
Am a crazy? Should I just go with the cheapest florist (who is doing the centerpieces)? Should I keep looking?
