Hi everyone. I am getting eloped in Kenya on safari next year. There’s weight limits b/c we have a lot of internal flights between safari camps and we have to stay under 30lbs per person for our 2 week+ wedding and honeymoon in Kenya and Seychelles.
That really determines the style I will be going for on our wedding day! We will be married on the bush by a tribe, just the two of us and they will adorn us with beads and jewelry as part of the ceremony. I won’t even have a blow dryer or professional stylist so the whole look will have to be very simple (hair tied back or natural curls, doing my own makeup). I will have a travel steamer. I’m nervous about being able to pull all of this off without professionals. We will have a reception to celebrate when we get back and I have my dress picked out for that.
My style inspiration for our elopement is Carolyn Bessette Kennedy with hair pulled back and fitted sheath gown. I’m 5’4/ sz 2/ small boobs/ bigger butt. Keeping all of this in mind.. what do you think of this Nicole Miller dress? And any help for hair or dress styles that you think would fit our elopement would be great.

We will also do photos in wedding dress/ at this hotel we are staying directly following our safari trip below but our ceremony and most of wedding photos will be at the actual safari.

Thank you! I am also a big fan of this one (katie may poipu shown back and front) and was the original one I loved but he didn’t seem to be a big fan of lace gowns when I was showing him photos of various gowns.

I think it’s beautiful. If you have the body to pull that off, do it!
