I think they are cute too!! Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney movie.  It is no different then having a Cinderella theme.  PP’s are right Disney is not the model for actual romances(I dont know anyone over the age of 6 who think they are) but they are sweet stories that make you feel good.  It is your wedding do what makes you happy.

egrossheim:  Well I am not sure if you are showing us your Save-The-Date Cards or if you ask for opinions. However, I personally am not a fan. I would worry that people would think of my Fiance as an unatractive partner that turned into a prince after taking off his glasses and shaving his beard lol

Unless you are having a Disney theme or so, then it is awesome.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone read as much into a wedding invitation as this post. OP didn’t ask for opinions, she was excited to post about a really big and special step in her wedding planning. Holy cow — I really missed the part where weddings are supposed to be on the cutting edge of social commentary and not about what makes the couple, and their guests feel happy and excited.

OP, if it makes you happy then go with it! 20 years from now, it’s going to be all about what made you (and your FI) happy, what made your guests excited, and how much the day was a representation of your love. It’s going to have precisely 0 to do with what peole on a forum thought about it.
