Hi bees! If anyone is very into beauty and fashion, I have NO idea about hair and makeup trends and what looks good, and I have trials coming up! My hair is very long but absolutely straight as a pin, and won’t hold a curl. My face is a bit rounder than I’d like (I’m a LOT heavier than I’d like). I’ll attach photos of myself, the dress, and my pearls… If you guys have a style that would look good, please post a pic 🙂

you have beautiful skin! You don’t need that much to look beautiful. I’d stick to one facial feature and emphasize it. Go bolder with the eyes and nude lip or if you want more color to your lips, keep your eyes simple. Remember the trend isn’t a ton of makeup, just emphasizing your best features!

ImTheBoss: With that face you will look amazing even with very little make up! Don’t worry about your weight and don’t obsess over details. You have such an angel face you will look adorable no matter what you do.
You know what, I spent months obsessing over make-up looks and trends and it was all for nothing. In the end, i just told my stylist ‘do with me what you want!’ and she did a wonderful job. They know better than us what to do. Plus looking at pics of different women with different styles of make up is not helpful at all – that look would sit completely differently on your face! I’d say just trust the expert and only make changes if you’re not happy with the trial.
As for hair, with that dress you could do pretty much any hair style, up or down. But I think a cascade of hair down your back would be beautiful – either in half-up hairdo, or side swept, or completely down. Here are a couple of ideas:

I think you shouldn’t hide that gorgeous hair. Also, for a very practical reason. I had similar hair to yours before my wedding, actually a bit thinner than yours; I went for a full hair up complicated hairdo – and it fell apart halfway through the wedding! It was such a nightmare. My hair was just too long and heavy (even though naturally thin! ) and it wouldn’t stay up. I so much regretted not going for hair down or half up style.

Your pretty face is your greatest aesthetic asset. Your lovely skin would lend itself well to a dewey/fresh look right out of historical fiction.

Thanks all, these are some really great suggestions! Anyone else with very VERY straight hair whose stylist was able to get it to stayed curled for any event? I love the look of curls, but even for my prom the stylist spent 2 hours and a whole can of product, and the curls had called before I even arrived!
I definitely do agree with all of you that I don’t want to go heavy with the makeup. I’m pretty happy with my skin, but wonder what could be done with me eyes to maybe make them look a little larger. They get very “half moon” like when I smile, and I worry about looking like I’m squinting all day!
