I am OBSESSED with Tarte mascara. I have really sensitive eyes and most mascaras bother me, but Tarte has never given me problems (even the occasional accidental sleep-in-my-makeup nights).

For eyeshadow, I suggest Maybelline. I bought one designed for blue eyes a while back and the colors are very nice and neutral – I ended up accidentally overusing the “primer” shadow because it went so well with almost everything.

Tazorac – prescription-only retinoid cream I use at night

Chanel lipstick – they feel so pretty!

St. Ives apricot scrub

I use Shiseido eye cream (the one from their regular skincare line), MAC has a few good matte neutral eye shadows and I have Chanel’s “Dunes” which is a nice set of four complimenting shadows.  It includes a cream that is not shimmery.

This may seem weird, but I used to be prone to over plucking my eyebrows, so I started buying the cheap Maybelline pressed powder eyebrow filler…it comes with the most perfect sized brush! It matches my eyebrows perfectly, and looks totally real. Even if I am barefaced, I will still use it because I feel like it adds a lot of definition to my face. Otherwise, things I LOVE are:

-MAC prep & prime for my face-adds such a dewy, fresh look. Never all powdery looking

-Blistex DCT pot (daily conditioning treatment)-always have people asking me whats on my lips, it looks so glossy and pretty, even though it’s just blistex

-MAC eyshadow, “All that glitters” or “Naked lunch” are perfect, pinkish tones

-Clean & Clear exfoliating scrub along with my exfoliating gloves

-MAC prep & prime for lashes, then MAC plush-lash mascara

For me, I totally can’t live without Tarina Tarantino’s Fleur de Lash mascara. Its only $20, and if you put a few coats on, it actually looks like you could be wearing false eyelashes.

I also can’t be without my Makeup Forever lipstick! I have it in a couple of shades, and I adore it.

I have a Tarina Tarantino brush set that I love, but it doesn’t work super well with some of my Urban Decay eyeshadows, so I’m currently lusting over some other brush sets made for that type of eyeshadow :).

I just got the Clinique Quick Blush and I love it. I have a two year old so my makeup routine has to be fast. I also use Clinique face lotion. I can’t live without the Mentha lip gloss from C.O. Bigelow. Everything else I rotate between products because I get bored and my skin changes a lot with the weather.

Bare Minerals foundation and primer. Actually all of their make up products are heavenly AND treat your skin rather than harm it. The best brand I have ever used!

I don’t believe in eye cream. From what I’ve read there is nothing special in them; they are basically just face moisturizers, but more expensive (because they are packaged in smaller containers).

My top 5 can’t-live-withouts:

  • CeraVe PM moisturizer
  • Paula’s Choice 1% BHA lotion
  • Clinique Superbalm tinted lip balms
  • Trish McEvoy eyeshadow in Petal (lilac color… maybe a neutral would be better for everyday but I love the way this brightens my face)
  • Korres shower gels aaaaahhh

Looking for a good:

  • bronzer for pale skin
  • mineral foundation that doesn’t settle into dry areas and doesn’t contain bismuth (if this exists!)
  • all-in-one eyeshadow/primer in a color that works for everyday

I haven’t really found much that I love and will stick with…extra virgin olive oil is amazing for taking off eye makeup and it’s cheap! Extra virgin coconut oil is a good moisturizer for body/hair/face. The only foundation I’ve ever super liked was Estee Lauder Double Wear, but it’s so expensive (for me)! Mary Kay has a really good concealer for like $10.

I can’t live without my MAC eye paints.  I have never had eye shadow look so good on for so long.  I am so glad the counter had me try it.  I just wish they would come out with a bigger line of it with some more conservative colors.  Sometimes the colors are too bold for my age, so I am very limited in choices.

Cover FX foundation

Everything Clinique. Seriously, I feel like I have tried everything (I’m a bit of a cosmetic/cleanser/moisturizer whore) and they have the best products. They are great for sensitive skin, really work, and aren’t tested on animals.

Urban Decay Primer Potion changed my life. Seriously. Before I bought it, my eyelids practically devoured eyeshadow; within a few hours it would have migrated to the crease and it looked like I wasn’t wearing any shadow at all. The Primer Potion is the only thing I’ve tried that actually makes it stay put all day.

And one of these days I’m going to go spoil myself at MAC with some new eyeshadows. I love their stuff.

I’m a very minimal make-up user, so the Mary Kay moisturizer and make-up remover works well enough for me. I do love Malibu Wellness Crystel Gel Professional Normalizer to keep my blonde hair blonde and strip the orange out of it from minerals in the water. Love this stuff, highly recommend it for any blondes/greys/light color treated hair.
