@Merinda1994:  I just got one of those clarisonic face brushes, and I have no idea how I ever lived without it. My face is always so smooth and my skin tone is much more even. Not to mention my makeup goes on flawlessly now!

I would definitely recommend it for anyone, especially people who have a problem with dry skin on their face, like I did. It buffs away that flakeyness like nothing else! It’s a little expensive, but it makes even the cheapest makeup look awesome on my skin, so I see it as an investment. It’s also supposed to be great for acne because it gets your face cleaner than anything else can (although my skin is so dry I never had that problem), so you have to use less concealer. Again, an investment 🙂

1. Any kind of bronzer – I am currently loving ELF’s baked bronzer in Bora Bora. It’s perfect for winter as it doesn’t make me look overly fake-tanned.

2. L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara in Carbon Black – love it. Who needs fake lashes when you have this mascara?

3. Stila “In the light” eye palette. I love the “Kitten” shade – it’s a great “makes you look awake” daily shade.

4. Revlon Stiletto liquid eyeliner. If you want perfect application and are a beginner/intermediate at make-up, this is the trick.

5. ELF Kohl eyeliner – amazing staying power for a $3 eyeliner!

@Merinda1994:  Dove dry shampoo – it makes my hair really thick and easy to work with on a day I don’t shower.

Clinique – Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm – it’s a solid that turns into an oil when you rub it on your face.  It’s amazing at getting all my makeup off, and it keeps my skin really moisterized.

Benefit Badgal waterproof eyeliner – the best waterproof pencil I’ve ever tried!

@Merinda1994:  I have literally tried everything to get rid of the dry flakes. I even tried a different cheaper brush because I was so reluctant to drop that much money on one. But I finally broke down and got it and it was the best decision ever. I got the Mia 2, but only because it was on sale. Otherwise I would have gotten the Mia because it’s cheaper. The only difference is that the Mia 2 has 2 speed settings.

Other items I love, but haven’t really been using every day as I save them for special events:

Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer (I use the NYX eyeshadow base daily as it’s $6/lid as opposed to $18/tube the way the TFSI is…

MUFE HD Foundation (Why don’t I use it every day? It’s $42/bottle. Enough said, lol. Although I did use it on my wedding day and reception!

In other news – has anyone tried the UD NAKED 3 palette yet? Thoughts?

What about the TARTE Amazonian Clay mineral powder foundation? I got a sample of the foundation and love it, so was going to get a full size soon.

Nars Larger Than Life eyeliner in Rue Bonaparte. I put it on my lower waterline to perk my eyes up.

CeraVe moisturizer because it does a good job and is cheap

Burts Bees lip balm. Never leave home without it.

Smashbox BB Cream. I get so many compliments on my skin when I wear it.

Benefit Fake Up concealer. It’s the only under eye concealer I’ve ever used that doesn’t crease horribly.

Deva Curl shampoo, conditioner, and gel. I’m a naturally curly girl, and going Deva was the best decision I ever made for my hair.
