I have seen some posts about what girls are doing to prepare themselves for wedding day. They make lists: use whitening mouthwash/toothpaste, monthly pedicures, exfoliate, run 5 times a week etc…
Do you have a plan? I was just wondeirng If any other bees have some bridal beauty ideas that I can add to the list! I want to look my best on the big day 🙂

besides what you listed, Hair conditioning treatments! i do them twice a week, you can buy them Sallys, but i think target has them as well. Wash your hair, put the conditioner on and leave it for 20 minutes or so then rinse 🙂

I’m an older bride, so I’ve started really moisturizing my hands and my face. Hands can really show age, so lots of moisturizer to make them look smooth and feel soft. Then, even though I am very blessed with good genes and have very few wrinkles for someone my age, I’m using a firming face wash and a good moisturizer day and night on my face to make sure no new wrinkles appear before the wedding.

As it’s bloody hot out here in the Australian desert, and I am getting married at the height of summer, I am loading up on the highest SPF known to man (invisible zinc) on my face and neck and arms. I do not want to tan anywhere or have sleeve or neck lines, and i wear a truly unfashionable hat to keep the sun off my face during the day.
I use a combination of Clinique and Estee Lauder face creams, and I exfoliate almost everyday to take off the build up of sunscreen. I am booked in for a microdermabrasion session in the week before my wedding to really scour out my pores 🙂 I will also be waxed in all the usual places and have my eyelashes tinted and a few falsies glued on by my makeup lady on the day of the wedding.
I love deep conditioning hair treatments and I use a whitening toothpaste. I have given up starchy carbs completely until my wedding. I shall reintroduce them in the days before, just to be sure I don’t get blind drunk on one glass of champagne at the reception!

Nothing I am doing ‘just for the wedding’. I did make a huge lifestyle change just last summer to eat right and exercise. This has side benefits too that my skin looks a lot better, healthier and it glows. I would be continuing this post-wedding as well.
