If I can save just ONE bride from this nightmare I will be happy. My SO and I registered at BBB back in 2012, had a great time going around the store with the lady and getting all the things we wanted scanned. No issue. Back in July they called to make sure our address was correct for shipping. When my Mom went to our online registry she found 90% of our items were not available. After some checking I fixed the issue. My mom purchased us a Kitchenaid blender and the plastic shield on Aug 27.
On Sept 3 BBB emailed my mom that our items would not be shipped because our address was wrong. I called them to confirm that no, our address was correct and was told that the email sent to my mom wasn’t real and to ignore it. We tracked the item with the UPS tracking number and it said delivery would be Sept 10.
Sept 10 I came home to a box from BBB but inside was a cuisenart food processor, not an item on our registry. There was no packing slip in the box but the sticker on the outside listed my mom’s phone number. So I called them again and after being on hold on and off for half an hour I was told to bring the item to my local BBB and they would take the food processor. So we go to our BBB and the lovely manager takes our food processor and offers me a refund. But the processor is way less than what my mom paid so I said no. He says, we’ll give you a merch credit that way you should still get your ordered items but this is a sorry for the inconvenience.
Sept 11 I call the BBB help center to make sure my items are still coming and I’m told that no we received them the day before. After explaining AGAIN that we DID not receive the correct items I’m told that they will be shipped as a replacement item.
Sept 12 I call to get the tracking information for the replacement item and I’m told that we were given a merch credit and that they are done with this order number. So I explain that the merch credit has nothing to do with this order and that my mom is the one who needs to be refunded. Even if it’s for the difference from the merch credit. The woman says ‘we don’t refund shipping and your mom wont get anything more back’ So I told her that mom was having her credit card dispute the charges and hung up.
I have removed my registry, emailed their customer service center and stomped my feet in anger. Avoid them if you can ladies!!
