I say go for it!  It’s your honeymoon, you should enjoy yourselves!! ๐Ÿ™‚  As for packing, just wrap them up deep inside.  I doubt anyone will question you about them.

You can always hide things in your toiletry bag too – I find the airport is generally reluctant to go through that ๐Ÿ™‚ that makes me sound really bad huh? I promise, I don’t smuggle anything through customs other than bedroom toys!

I decided not to bring any of that stuff. I’m just too embarrassed knowing TSA will see it on the x-ray…and also sometimes you get flagged when you arrive in mexico and they search your bags in front of everyone and I mean they look through everything, every pouche, etc. (I got to mexico alot).

I’m hoping we can buy some things in town.

@fresitachulita: this! not a honeymoon but we are going to on a tropical vacation in a couple weeks and I’m a little worried about the security on the island airport picking me and ruffling through it in front of everyone . Although, knowing SO he may get more embarrassed about it than me Embarassed hah

ETA: though to answer the OP’s question, my opinion is that it’s still worth it to bring whatever you want! better to suffer a little fleeting embarrassment and have a kick-ass time in the bedroom than play it safe and find yourself wishing you could spice it up more.

i think it’s best to put it in any luggage that is being checked! i have such bad luck with my carry-ons being searched that i try to not even have any tampons or anything in my bag because it’s really awkward when guys are searching your things. :/

I took something to a really conservative country with no problems.

Regarding the backdoor: take lube!  ๐Ÿ™‚

TAKE THE BATTERIES OUT!

You do not want to get your luggage searched for suspiciously vibrating bags. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Also double check if you are taking any toys that require you have a wall outlet that the outlets at the place you will be staying at will not fry the toy.

@ladyartichoke:  Dittio on lube. They have desensitizing lube that is great for newbies.

I second the suggestion to check your bags with “the goods” in them. I was in a LDR with a guy before Fiance and I began dating, and once when I was traveling to visit him, my bag with my “goodies” was searched. Talk about embarrassing…when they told me they were going to search my bag, I asked if they could take it into a different room so it wouldn’t all be out in the open. I’m sure my face was 10 shades of red while the woman went through all my stuff.

Do NOT take toys on the honeymoon. They WILL end up being waved around by security and customs.

This hasn’t happened to me (I swear), but I’ve been in too many customs lines where someone explains the toys they bought in Amsterdam, or tried not to giggle while security stands over the up-ended pile of clothes and baggage turning someone’s vibrator on and off.

I am going to say again, there there is a good chance your bags will be searched and this stuff will be picked up and looked at, possibly while you stand there with people waiting in line behind you. Putting them in “checked” bags makes no differene when you are crossing the border, becasue you must go through customs and immigration with ALL of your bags.
