Darling Husband and I are looking at bedroom sets. The one we’re in love with at Pottery Barn is out of our price range, even with the help that we’re getting from some family members to pay for this set. I found a gorgeous set at Bassett Furniture (still a tad on the expensive side, but we’re hoping to have this furniture for a good….eternity and it’s less expensive than the Pottery Barn set), and I like that I’m able to mix and match pieces from a collection to create my own set.
But…even if we’re able to afford it, I’m having some issues with the style. The bed I fell in love with is the panel bed, but after reading the description, I found out that the triangle inserts have wicker inside them instead of wood. I don’t know why there’s two different pictures depicting two different things on the website (the picture of the furniture in the show room shows a full wood bed) but if the bed has wicker in it, then it’s for sure off the list. The other option for a bed would be the sleigh bad that is one of the options in the set. Orignially, I did not want a sleigh bed in any set, but now I’m questioning if maybe a sleigh bed would be a nice way to go. A little cozier, a little different from your typical bed. Plus this one happens to be gorgeous!
Darling Husband is going to call Bassett tomorrow to find out what the deal is with the wicker on the panel bed, but until then, I’d like some opinions on style! So, all those in favor of the traditional panel bed, and all those in favor of the sleigh bed..show me your vote!
The order of pictures is:
#1) The sleigh bed
#2) The panel bed shown with full wood
#3) The panel bed shown with wicker triangles
