I recently got back from Jamica, have been to thebahamas in the past and am planning my own honeymoon to St. Lucia at the end of September. All were/are all inclusive.

In the bahamas, we stayed at Breezes in 2004. It was nice but in need of some cosmetic updates. I’m sure these must have been done by now though. The staff was friendly and the resort was on a pretty big area of beach. you could walk down the beach and see the other resorts and we were very happy with ours after doing so. The resort also has a lot of gardens so you can wander off and have some privacy. However, when we were there it was Spring break and 18+ I believe they allow children normally which would deter me from going there again.

In Jamaica (April 09), we stayed first at Sandals Negril and then at Sandals Royal Carribean in Montego Bay. Negril had a nice large beach but a rather small pool. We went snorkeling and waterskiing which are included in Snadals. The only downfall is I felt like everyone there was trying to sell me things from spa services to boat trips (to Rick’s cafe, booze cruise) on their friend’s boat. I liked Royal Carribean much better but the beach is smaller and the water was more choppy so we couldn’t snorkel or do any other moterized watersports there. However, they have a private island with an amazing thai restaurant (food was good at all the resorts we visited). The Royal just came off as nicer in style and the staff were much more informed and the resort generally had a more welcome vibe and younger crowd. Also, it is close to the airport and to the Sandals Montego Bay so we made dinner reservations there one night. I would highly recommend Royal Carribean for a honeymoon. Montego Bay is also nice but so close to the airport you really have planes flying directly overhead!

I cna’t really let you know how St. Lucia turns out until October but we’re staying at Sandals Halcyon Beach and I’ve heard great things. It is the smallest of the 3 they have on the island but right in the middle so we intend to take the shuttle and experience all three resorts.

Good luck in your decision, I’m pretty sure all inclusive and Carribbean makes for a wonderful vacation on any island!

I can say this…when we were in Lucea, Jamaica last year and were landing in Montego Bay, we saw the Sandals from the air (the Montego Bay).  It is def close to the airport.

My friends have gone to Sandals Whitehouse and loved it!  On the quiet side of Jamaica, and very elegant.

My sis and bil swear by getting the all inclusive route at Round Hill, which is about 30 minutes outside of Montego Bay.  They go every year for their anniversary!  It is beautiful!
