I really enjoy craft beers, although I could never choose just one favorite! Right now we have Orange Blossom Pilsner in the kegerator, which is a local brew.

My favorite beer ever is Purple Haze.

But the beers that are close seconds are Stella, Pyramid Apricot, and Breckenridge Vanilla Porter. Yum!!

About a year ago I joined a beer club where the goal is to try 200 different beers. I am at 45! I’m so proud of myself haha!

Any Belgian beer!  Darling Husband and I are both beer snobs and would never spend our money on what many people consider to be their favorite beers.  🙂

@Mrs.KMM: You rock! Mr HW and I are beer snobs too!  Belgian’s are our choice as well.  I also really enjoy Flemish Reds…. I like them tart and complex!

@hotwings: Yay!  I love finding other beer snobs who can understand!  Darling Husband is actually more of an IPA guy although we’ll both drink quite a variety (although IPAs are usually a bit much for me).

I wish I could remember the name of DH’s favorite beer of all time.  It was out of production for a while and he found it at some small bar and happily paid $24 for a bottle of it.  I think it is back in production again though – I should try to find him some for X-mas.

I tend to like really dark stuff (Deschutes Brewery makes both a great stout and a great porter), really light stuff (Hitochino’s Nest White Ale or Southhampton Double White), or really hoppy stuff (Lagunitas IPA, Sierra, Stone IPA).  For lagers, I like more of a nutty Vienna style lager – Sam Adams is pretty good, Brooklyn is better.  Trader Joe’s Vienna Style is pretty good too.  Oh, and nutty beers like Sam Smith Nut Brown.  Tasty.  Seasonal spiced stuff can be tasty, too.  I love Shipyard Pumpkin Head and Anchor’s Christmas this year so sooo good.  Anything Dogfish Head does is delicious.  Same with Deschutes.  Generally I really hate sweet malty beers, though.  I cannot abide by Bass or Newcastle.

Of course, there does not exist a place in which all of my favorites are available. Some I only see on the east coast, others are west coast beers. Also some are ridiculously expensive.
