@CaroBee: then you and I are the same kindred spirits because my fiance has already proposed TWICE without a ring.. haha we’ve started planning slightly (okay…I’ve started planning and he has mumbled his “mhmm sure babe” but I CANT WAIT FOR THE RING and to tell everyone!!!!!
I’m going nuts. So good to know even though the proposal(s) already came I’m not the only lunatic waiting for my damn ring.

@ohhbitty: I went crazy waiting for my ring. He took me shopping, looking at settings and diamonds. I couldn’t decide what I liked more… a simple 6 prong or a 6 prong with diamonds on the band. So, I knew he’s going to buy me something pretty soon. Then.. I overheard a voicemail from the jeweler (he blamed it on his ios7 that made him played the message on speaker without realizing that I was behind him) that “it was ready to go…” I freaked and screamed “I DON”T THINK I SUPPOSE TO HEAR THAT!!!” It was awakard, he made it more awakard that evening… then, he made it even more awarkard when he kept teasing me the following weekend about how beautiful ring was in his eyes, but wouldn’t give it to me! He eventually proposed that weekend. 🙂 It was the most beautiful and special gift from him!
He’s planning to take me out to dinner soon to celebrate our new milestone. 🙂

I’m frustrated but starting to honestly get more sad than anything. I picked out my setting, and he keeps pushing the engagement timeline farther and farther back and spending lots of money on other things and has made no hint of saving for a ring. A few days ago he said he’d consider buying a setting if it were on sale, but took it back, saying he’s still “too young” to get engaged. I’ve given up.

@ohhbitty: Yes! I was with my SO when he purchased the ring in August so I’ve known for awhile there will be a proposal soon-ish. He accidently posted picture of the ring when he got it delivered to his office on the Dropbox account that we share so I’ve seen the picture of the real deal, which makes it that much more difficult!

Fiance and I looked at rings 1.5 years before he proposed. Lets just say I was pretty insane by the time he did it. But honestly, it was sooooooooooooooo worth it. It was such a special moment when he proposed 🙂
I hope it comes soon for you!

@JessMorgan777: I do the same thing you did! Every morning when my S/O leaves for school, I open his drawer and put the ring on, take pictures of it, and just marvel at the thing! It is sooooo pretty I just want it on my finger already!!!
@ohhbitty: I’m going nuts! Completely NUTS! Right now, my S/O and I are watching TV and I wish he would just go into our room, get the ring, and propose to me right here, right now. I wanna just blurt out “RIGHT NOW IS THE PERFECT TIME!” but of course, that would ruin it. So I guess I’ll continue waking up early every morning and trying on my ring until the glorious day that he proposes 🙂 *sigh* Let’s stay strong!

@FutureMrsKap: hahaha you are cracking me up! I can say I think I am stronger than you in the fact that I would force myself not to try it on!! lmao but YOU are stronger than me because I would not have kept my mouth shut…

I totally did. I was a crazy person! I turned into Gollum. All I wanted was “my precious”. My poor Fiance.

I did. It was bad! I wish I had been more patient, because I think my husband would of come up with something more romantic had I not been on his case.

I’m seriously trying to be normal about it, but it’s all I can think about it. Everytime I push and say “Is my ring here yet? I LOVE YOU!! TEE HEE” I also say “but wait, if it’s here don’t tell me and don’t ruin the proposal and ahhhhh!” and then run away screaming. Well, maybe not ALLLLL of that, but you get it. I ruined the moment of him telling me we were going ring shopping, so I should have learned my lesson. But I just can’t help myself. I am so beyond excited, and we’ve been dating for 5.5 years, so it feels like it’s reallllly time. All good things, just need to relax. HA!

@ohhbitty: no, i didn’t go crazy bc I had no idea Darling Husband was shopping for a ring.
We spoke about getting married, he asked me what type of ring I would like, i said as long as its a cushion cut, I don’t care. He took that idea and ran with it. We never talked about it again. I never asked where is my ring, bc I knew we were on the same page. I was patient.

Once I knew he actually had the ring, I felt SO much better. Yes, of course, I was freaking out about the when, where and how of the proposal, but knowing that it was coming made things a little easier. That said, I was so freaking giddy for the 3 weeks he held onto the ring that it was hard to think about anything else. Just relax and enjoy your last few weeks as a girlfriend! I know I got overly nostalgic about EVERYTHING – thinking “Oh, this is the last time we’ll get coffee at x shop while still boyfriend and girlfriend,” “Oh, this is the last Tuesday I’ll go to work as a girlfriend.” Yes, I was crazy..but good crazy!

@Daizy914: Being patient is a lot easier if you
A. Aren’t a military relationship with no clue as to when the next time you will get to see the love of your life is..
B. Don’t know the ring is there… waiting for you..
C. Haven’t already been proposed to TWO TIMES by the love of your life (sans ring)

I’m going crazy waiting for my upgrade to be made! I keep stalking these posts looking at pictures and looking at the pic sample I have on my phone. I have asked EVERYONE what they think of my choice while trying to be humble at the same time.
The jeweler must know me better than I think because he gave me the ering to wear while the bands are being made. Then he will swap and I will wear the bands while the ering is being made.
I can’t wait to get it all together!!!!! So, no worries for you. You are in good company. 🙂
