@bunnyharriet:  I think I may be the odd one out.  My parents never married, and have no intention to, but are still together. 32 years.

My parents have been married for 33 years but have known each other for 38 or 39 years. They are still together!

My parents renewed their 25th wedding anniversary vows on my wedding day, back in 1984.  STILL married to this day, although Mom is i a nursing home in hospice and Dad still visits her at least 4 times a week.  Sad, but now that her mind is going, she sees him as he was when he was young, and in the navy.

My parents got married and are still together however, they did separate for a while when we were kids. They ended up working through it.

My parents got engaged before I was born but my mother died before they could finally make it official and get married.

My parents have been married for 36 years and really should get a divorce. This may be the year.

I chose that they “got married but eventually divorced,” even though it’s far more accurate to say that they “promptly divorced.” They got married because my mom was pregnant with me, and they were divorced before my 1st birthday. Good thing, too. I haven’t spoken to him since I was about 5, but apparently he has another daughter who would be about 9 or 10 now. I feel so bad for her because I know I wouldn’t have been nearly as successful if I had had such a negative influence in my life growing up.

They were together for 21 years before getting married. They’re still married and just celebrated their 20th anniversary.

Married 23 years at the time of my dad’s death. They’d definitely still be married.

My parents divorced when I was 13. Mom remarried my stepdad and they are still together. Dad got remarried…and divorced. And engaged…and broken up. And engaged again, and again and again, and….yeah.

My Parents had an arranged marriage 41 years ago, they never spoke a word to each other, or saw one another in person until they were married, and they are still married! I don’t know if they ever had that lovey-dovey relationship, but they are definitely best friends!

Mine are married since past 33 years and still at it. They had quite the turbulent relationship mainly due to my dad’s family. But they have worked through their issues. There were a cpl of times in our adult life where my sibling and I have recommend divorce to them because things were JUST THAT BAD, but they stuck to their guns. They are doing much better now. Though not optimal.

My parents have been married for 45 years (46 this June!). They were married 9 years before they had kids (one of the luxiuries of marrying in your early 20’s).

DH’s parents have been married for 35 years.
