I do think though if you go on a forum asking for opinions you’ll get honest opinions (thinking pricescope j think it’s called?) but having a stranger or even coworker say something is like the people in the grocery store who tell you to smile.

Anyone who would seriously judge me for my ring wouldn’t be in my life (easier said than done I know but I cut them out like paper, or did. I don’t really have to anymore) And if they were just judging in passing then I hope I wouldn’t know.

I usually find if I love something I don’t give a sweet sheep what anyone says. If I don’t love it and I’m confused, then I care about opinions and am more swayed.

I’m with you, why would anyone care to judge this anyway with so much more going on in the world

Well, now that I think about it, I’ve been criticized for having more than one diamond ring. I like to switch it up. But people comment on that if I’m wearing a different one. That bothers me. Because I feel judged. But, I like what I like and at the end of the day it’s my finger, my money and my choice.

I am pretty thrifty which allows me to purchase multiple things like this. Used diamonds , custom setting, right jeweler… etc.

Mine isn’t huge carat size wise (1.04ct centre with 0.26ct halo) but I do think it looks big on my finger, and still do after 4 months wearing it every day lol.

No negative comments yet (a couple people have said it’s big), but, I haven’t been close enough to anyone for them to really see it (photos only so far). Did have a jeweller ask to handle it but she was more interested in the shape (marquise) stone (K and very clear) setting (mixed metal) than the size, I think.

I just don’t understand why any other person in the world would feel the need to express their negative thoughts about anything I was wearing, or what my jewlery looked like, or my hair… it’s just unnecessary… that being said, I wouldn’t say I was criticized per say but there has been comments about the sapphire Ering I have, 2 separate people called it the heart of the ocean then one of them went on to say that they wish they had just 1 Ering cause I have 2, and the other referred to hers as “baby bling” so I just chalked it up to envy, and moved on. My diamond E ring hasn’t made a debut yet since we got it during the pandemic and we are following all guidelines and limiting who we see and staying 6 feet apart, you know all the good stuff! So I haven’t had any comments on that one and I am not one to post it to social media… so I guess we will see! I would also like to say that I am THAT bargain hunter but do have luxury items as well, I call it balance! =)

I have a 3 carat and i never felt judged. However i don’t need validation from internet strangers to love my ring. I like big and clunky. Some love small and simple. It doesn’t matter at all if others don’t love it.
