I wish i could tell you i had a wild/loving/special night..but i did not. We decided to spend our last night as singles apart from each other. So, we took the girls to the venue to leave all the wedding stuff (seating chart, favors..) and then my husband left us at my parents’ and grandparents’, 20 min drive from our house. In the beginning it was nice, then it got..weird and i went to bed very, very sad.
My sister showed up like in a storm, telling me (almost shouting!!) my wedding just had made her spend 400€ in clothes and hairdresser (!)..i was crushed..it was the night before my wedding day, i was supposed to be laughing surrounded by family! It’s not my fault she had to go twice to the hairdresser as the haircolor wasn’t right! And who demanded she should buy a 150€ dress??? Ok, deep down i know she had no intention of hurting my feelings, but she did..finally i went to bed nesting against my 4 years old warm body when i woke up to the angry voices of two cousins and an aunt, on the street!! Apparently my cousin and her husband had arrived in their car and bumped into a drunken man who said terrible things to them.. i know they have been having really tough times so their anger levels were very high..i had to run to the street almost on my underwear to hold my cousin from assaulting the drunken man!! And had to drag him home, while he tried to past through me and go to his van to pick something (a knife??????)..i was a nervewreck by then, as you can immagine. Trembling with stress and adrelanin i finally went to bed..and didn’t sleep at all!
So this was my charming last single night..

Several of the GM’s and Darling Husband spent the last night at a GM/BM’s house having a little mini party before heading to bed. My sister and one Bridesmaid or Best Man stayed over my house for a little slumber party. We got back from the rehearsal dinner around… maybe 11:00? I don’t remember what we did (probably just talked) but I know we ended up in bed around 1am… had to get up at 5 the next morning to start hair appointments!
Oh, and I worried about rain. It was in and out of the forecast all week and it really could’ve gone either way. Fortunately, it stormed a little over night, but the wedding day was just beautiful! And the hot July sun dried everything up before I made it out of the house….
What’s that you say? Today’s July 9th again?! Yay anniversary!!!
Sorry you didn’t have the most magical last single evening, but it wasn’t really that exciting for me either.

I spent my last night single trying to wrangle a very drunk Darling Husband into bed, haha. We were staying in my aunt’s rental house since that would give us our own room and bathroom, but Darling Husband was terribly confused about where we were and how I had managed to procure a toothbrush (I had brought it from home, duh). I kept having to calm him down and eventually get him in bed, haha. It made for a pretty funny wedding morning though, as he was all apologies and reminded me that he needs me to take care of him in situations like that!

We had rehersal, rehersal dinner.. then we went to a bar had a few drinks with some of the bridal party/two friends from super out of state. Drove home, said goodbye to my fiance, got everyone settled at the house. And laid in bed and talked to my best friend for a good hour.. I wouldn’t have done it any different. Except not be super late for our rehersal dinner (we didn’t wrap presents).. 🙁
