- Wedding: June 2014
Where to start! So yesterday on a whim I tried on some dresses with Mama Farm…..it was totally not planned we just had a couple hours to kill, my wedding isn’t until June 2014 so i have plenty of time. Anyway, first we went to a little shop in a historic district where last year (before he put a ring on it) i found a lovely ball gown that i’ve been drooling over for the last year! Well its gone, obviously, but i did find the Allure 8808….put it on…..OMG! Never in a millon years did I think a dress like that would look so nice and flattering on! It was amazing! Okay so then i proceeded to davids bridal…had the most awesome saleslady and apparently now i’ve realized that a more fitting gown with lots of lace is more what i’m looking for. She found me an amazing beaded lace gown. So here’s where I got lost…….alright so the sample was too big, fine we clipped it and it looked awesome, but obviously i’m going to have to wear a long special bra underneath, okay fine, the dress isn’t that heavy but then I see they suggest a slip to give shape……okay now we have another layer…..I’m getting married in June, in Missouri….it could be 109 with humidity at 110%……is this normal to have all this jazz underneath…….Mama Farm was no help, her and my dad’s mom made her dress and all she had underneath was her regular old undergarments…..How do you deal with the heat and all these layers!?! Is it necessary? I want to look nice but also comfortable, any suggestions?
