I planned everything in 5 months and there are a few others here who have in the same time frame. It can completely be done!!!

You just have to accept that you have to be a bit more flexible in some things and it will all work out! Make yourself a list of what is most important to you and take it from there.

I’m sooo sorry to hear about your dad. I think pushing the wedding up is fine and will be worth it. I think you have lots of time to plan your dream wedding! I was engaged in April and we got married in sept! So it deinately can be done! Book your venue, church or officiant and find your dream dress! Dresses can take around 4 -5 months to be ordered in so get moving on that. We were married on a Friday and didnt have any issues getting the vendors we wanted! just so you know my wedding was my dream wedding and there was nothing I would of done different if we had a 1 year plus engagement. On another note I really hope your dad is okay. I couldn’t imagine how your feeling. Big hug!

It can be done- my mom is a wedding planner, and she’s pulled of beautiful weddings in less than 2 months.  You just have to be extra flexible, or hire a good wedding planner!  Good luck!  I am so sorry about your dad!

First off…I am sooo sorry to hear about your dad.  But, you totally can plan an amazing wedding in that timeframe.  Like the PP said, stay flexible and, if you can, hire a planner.  You also have the support of the Bee’s if you need ANY help!

Sorry to hear about your dad–we are planning in two and a half months and i wouldn’t do it any other way.  It clarifies things and makes planning much less painful in my opinion.  pick a venue and the rest will fall into place.

You might even be able to find a venue for cheaper since most people book further out.

@kunezerwa: It can be done so don’t panic! I am sorry to hear of your fathers ill healthk, I wish him a speedy recovery, and yes these things do put things like waiting to get engaged into perspective.

My grandmother was ill a couple of months ago (fine now thank goodness!) and it really got SO into motion. And yes, he too wants to get married in AUGUST next year now and I am like going crazy as we are not engaged and it’s only about 8 months away so I feel your anxiety!!

So sorry to hear about your dad! I know how upsetting this can be, but you should continue to think positively.

If Bethenny Frankle can plan her wedding in a month (and pregnant!), you can do it in 5!! Good luck!

We were engaged for 8 months and we planned the wedding for about 6. It’s totally doable. You just have to be organized and find book vendors as you see them, do not wait! Also, I bought a sample gown, so I didn’t have to order one. You can do it!

Im so sorry to hear about your dad sending Possitive thoughts your way!

And you can plan a wedding you just have to get on it asap book the big things now and start working on all of the little things! And i agree with PP Go dress shopping ASAP! You can also look into see if a place close by does full wedding packages! You may have to have a smaller number of guests but it would take a ton of stress off of you!

@kunezerwa:Make more compromises. My Brother-In-Law and SIL got married in 2 months. Anything is possible. Just need to be flexible with your vision, and always remember why you’re doing it!
