- Wedding: August 2013
I’m already SOOO excited!!! 🙂 We’re getting married in Rome in Italy! I’m so happy 60 guests will make it to the wedding 🙂
I still have some decor issues and since I see these beautiful decor pics all the time on the forum I thought you might have some nice ideas… 🙂
The party will take place in a hotel and we’ll be first having an aperitif on an upper terrace with panoramic view…
There are some high tables and I thought about floating candles in fish glass bowls, to match the stone spheres and lamps. Maybe with purple rose petals to match the umbrellas? Or orchids? And would you add anything else?
After that we’re going down to have dinner on another terrace. Unfortunately there are only 2 decor options which I both don’t really l ike…
– either 7 large tables but with yellowish tablecloths and chair covers…
(I can rent ivory tablecloths but no chair covers, because we’d have to rent also the chairs which would make an extra 800$!) so we’d have to cope with this stupid yellow at least on the chairs
– or 15 small tables for 4 persons, of which some are round and others square. These have light brown tablecloths which I like more, but I don’t know if 4 persons/table is ok…?
(but actually the color is a bit lighter)
What do you think? I asked a wedding planner for help, but she couldn’t solve the tablecloth/chair cover problem.
At the beginning I had agreed upon traditional roses centerpieces with the florist, but I simulated this decor with photoshop, and it just looks sooo boring! It could be my grandmother’s wedding LOL Even with paper lanterns on the ceiling…
Could you give me any centerpiece advice? Big tables with yellow chaircovers or small tables with light brown tablecloths? Maybe some floating candles (for ex. http://www.google.com/imgres?sa=X&biw=1920&bih=900&tbm=isch&tbnid=zIwwHoMMGoFkHM:&imgrefurl=http://www.tumblr.com/tagged/floating%2520candles&docid=hXL4aigSC4lfgM&imgurl=http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lxilzxCuiG1r48fs7o1_1280.jpg&w=600&h=600&ei=Ud2oUfuXA4ar0gWDgIGoDw&zoom=1&ved=1t:3588,r:1,s:0,i:84&iact=rc&dur=248&page=1&tbnh=180&tbnw=191&start=0&ndsp=35&tx=73&ty=63)?
It should be reasonably priced and easy to obtain, since I have no idea about where to buy this in Italy!
Thank you so much 🙂 I’ll keep you updated about the organization and will post some pics once it is over! 🙂
