To celebrate our engagement FILs took us out for a posh meal and then gave us a slow cooker for when we move in together next week, now I know I can do stuff like stew and bolognese in it, but does anyone have any other recipes? Please?!

I often do pork ribs in my slowcooker. You cut it (raw) into pieces of 2, then you put it in the slowcooker, add your favorite sauce (BBQ, Brown sugar, etc.) and put it on ”Low” for 5 hours.
Spaghetti sauces are sooooo tasty in the slowcooker, and it smells like heaven in your house. Just add all the ingredients together (if meat: just sear in a pan for a few seconds before adding it to the slowcooker ; if mushrooms, wait until 30 minutes from end cooking time). Use fresh herbs such as oregano, rosemary and marjoram, I put the entire branch on top of the sauce and remove it only when cooking time is over. (8 to 10 hours on Low).

I love allrecipes.com. Here’s one I made Saturday http://allrecipes.com/recipe/slow-cooker-barbecue-ribs/ . I never thought of ribs in the slow cooker, but they were amazing. I like to look in the reviews on the recipes and see what others did to make the recipe even better.
