I’m freaking out about my dress.. if you didn’t get that from the title of the post. I decided on this dress with my whoel family cheering me on. Today i got a letter that said it has arrived and I need to come in for my first fitting.
Most people would be thrilled. I want to be, but I’m not. I’m shaking in my boots! I went back to look at the pics I had taken when I tried the dress on, and I’m not sure I like it anymore.
I know everyone is going to say, “oh you look great..” but I need HONEST opinions even if they’re rotten and mean. Brutal honesty! Please don’t let a fellow bee walk down the aisle looking horrible! PLEASE

Oh dear! no need to be shaking! You really, honestly, truly do look fantastic! I love the asymmetry of the dress, I love the lines, everything. It’s beautiful!

You do honestly look great in that dress! What is it that makes you nervous/doubt yourself?
Oh and I really love how/where it pleats, it is extremely flattering!

The back of that dress is to die for! I love the buttons all the way down, and it gives you an amazing silhouette.
It is seriously gorgeous!

Your dress looks great. Go and try it back on and I bet the feelings you had when you bought it will come right back!

I’ve only ever commented on 1 dress, this is my second. I actaully quite like it. It’s got a different texture, yet classic sillohette. I’m a fan.

I honestly LOVE it! I wanted a very similar dress but in organza, but was higher than I wanted to spend for a custom made gown. It’s such a flattering and slimming style! Just look at that side view- WOW! On the other hand I understand what it’s like to have a dress you don’t like (I resold my first dress because I realized I would never be happy in it.)
Personally, I think it’s beautiful, but ultimately you need to be happy in the dress you’re wearing or you might always regret it.

You look amazing in your dress. You have no reason to worry, your dress is beautiful. I love how it is simple yet elegant it is with all the detail.

What don’t you like about it?
…and, I honestly think rethinking the dress choice is all part of wedding planning ‘fun’. I had the same – oh crap I think this looks awful on me, is the wrong choice, etc. since the time I ordered the dress UNTIL my final fitting. It wasn’t until a complete stranger in the bridal salon told me how awesome I looked that I started getting back my confidence in my choice. And, on the wedding day – everyone made me feel so great (especially DH) – since all of them hadn’t been obsessing and looking at a billion wedding dresses! 🙂
…and, what made you fall in love with it?

**sigh of some relief** Thanks girls. Y’all are very sweet.
RR I think what worries me the most is my linebacker shoulders, ugly arms, back flab, and the dress looks more “yellow” than I remember it. I’m also afraid that the torso is going to be too long. I’m standing on a box in all the pics. I’m 5’0″ and if they just “hem” the dress then it will be all out of proportion.
And I’m really nervous I won’t lose enough weight to be pretty in it.
This has GOT to be the PMS talking cause I usually don’t freak about stuff like this. Its a freaking dress.. I HAVE to calm down.
Y’all must think I’m nuts. I’m sorry for the rant.
