Ugh, that’s awful. I’m sorry your Fiance is so selfish and disrespectful to you. That’s so gross that he hasn’t washed his hands at all! Is he this way about other things as well?

@sheepandbear:  the more you worry, the more likely you will end up sick! Take precautions now and stock yourself on some vitamin c, sleeping well, and drinking plenty of fluids. =)

@sheepandbear:  My Fiance is the same way when it comes to hygiene. Sure he showers daily and stuff, but asking him to wash his hands makes him think I’m accusing him of being unhygenic.

I really hope he gets his act together so you don’t get sicker. Best of luck! And I really hope you aren’t ill during the wedding.

@sheepandbear: I’d be super pissed! Your health is everything and to treat it so shabbily is terrible. I hope you dodge the bug this time!

TBH you are both being selfish….he should be more cautious, but all you seem to care about is how is affects you.

Take some vitamins, and worry about it if/when you actually get sick. Stressing out is bad for your immune system.

I would be upset too, the least he could do is wash his hands more often. Definitely take more precautions like vitamins, etc and as minimal sexual contact as possible until he is better. But I do understand why he is upset too, he is sick and you’re getting mad at him for it, worrying about your own health. So maybe show more concern for him and he will do the same for you

I know some people are hesitant about having their SO/Fiance/DH in the room with doctor appointments, but I think you need to take him in with you.  Since he’s not listening to you, your doctor needs to tell him what medication you’re on, and how it impacts your immune system.  Sometimes people hear “I have a weaker immune system” and think that you’re just being wimpy.

Since it’s after the fact, start getting extra rest, extra fluids, nutritious foods.  I know you’re going to be very stressed right now, but you need to help your immune system fight this off, and staying hydrated, rested and proper nutrition will help.

See if your doctor will give you a B12 shot and then take lots of echinacea (sp?) and make sure to stay hydrated and well rested so you will be more likely to fight off whatever he has.  Also, buy hand sanitizer and use it often.  Finally, don’t touch your eyes or face because that is the most likely avenue of catching whatever he has.

try taking airborne. my friend swears by it. he said it’s always shortened the length and severity of his colds.

drink water! like 70 oz of it between now and tomorrow and do it again tomorrow and the next day too!! Colloidal silver is another liquid that you could take for a cold or just to boost immune system.
