I’ll be 37wks tomorrow! I don’t think my baby moves that much and it’s not kicking anymore, it’s more like, trying to move his/her body round. If I push my belly, he or she moves AND chocolate milk! LOL! My baby is most active in the evening time though, or night when I see my belly has become whopsided.lol

It varies a lot from kid to kid, as well as month to month, and time of day. A lot of docs will recommend a sugary drink (like OJ) or caffeine if you’re comfortable with it, then lying on your left side (because that gives maximum blood flow) and seeing if kicks/movements begin. They don’t have to be big, just feeling a roll or a nudge here and there. Mine used to be so crazy active, then the further along I got the more she quieted down. She doesn’t move much during the day anymore. She mostly rolls around at night or gets hiccups. About a month ago she went absolutely apeshit, and freaked me out. It was like she was PISSED that it was so TIGHT IN THERE and she just had a hissy fit in my belly. It was the creepiest thing ever. Of course, I then panicked that maybe she was in distress, but she quieted down soon enough and went back to normal.

Today is my due date, and she really hasn’t moved all that much. Also, my belly went from hard and firm pretty much everywhere to jello. It’s only firm when I have a BH contraction or feel her little body. I can’t tell you how odd it is to press on my stomach and not feel that resistance anymore!
