Good morning ladies,
I was wondering how common it is for bees to meet bees in real life, already know who some bees are from RL.
I wonder if bees have been sitting beside eachother on the bus or pass eachother on the street without ever knowing! Do you wonder this too?
Whenever I see a wedding I wonder if they are a bee or ever were while waiting planning etc.
Tell me your stories, thoughts?

Well, depending on where you live, sometimes Bees will organize WeddingBee Meetups – I have been to a few here in the SF Bay Area, so I have had the opportunity to put faces to usernames/avatars. It’s also always interesting to be on WB and see that someone else is from the same area, and wonder, are they the person standing next to me at starbucks? 🙂 I totally hear ya!

I’ve never met a fellow Bee ( that I know of). I totally would be excited to find one, though!

- Wedding: June 2012 - Franklin Plaza
I have gone to a few meetups and met some bees in real life (so much fun!), but I will admit that whenever I see an engaged lady on the train… in the store… at a restaurant, I secretly wonder if they are on weddingbee. 😉

I went to one bee meetup in NYC so I’ve met 8-10 ladies. I did spot a blogging bee at a MAC in Tampa and I could not place her face until I got home.

It would be so cool to meet a bee “accidently” in real life! (Don’t mean the meetups) I mean, really, strike up a conversation with a stranger in a grocery lineup and the conversation turns to weddings…. then you ask if they’ve been on weddingbee, and confess! Wow, But when will that ever happen? LOL

Never actually met up with a bee..
But found a bee where she lives like 5 miles from me, shes from pittsburg orignally, but her husband went to the same highschool as me. He actually is my cousins husbands cousin… its was like holy cow what a small world! of alllll the people on WB, i find one that lives near me, and her hubby went to the same HS..

That would be fun!
I’ve been to one local bee meetup and had alot of fun.
I’m at a point where many of my friends are getting engaged and I recommend Weddingbee to some of them – I wonder sometimes if I know any of the bees IRL and just don’t know it.

Do you mind telling me what part of PA you are from?

I have talked to a few bees (and am thinking of messaging some right now) that are also from southern ontario, so it is neat to read their posts then find out in pm where they actually were
I think about the bees all the time, I wish there was a way to know if someone else is on wedding bee.

I’ve met a Bee IRL! It was really fun and we surprisingly did not gossip about the Hive. Lol But we met because we kind of connected here. Her wedding was in an area where I happened to live and she did not.
So I helped her with a lot of recommendations. And then when she came up for the weekend, we met for a hike and lunch. We kept in touch through email for a while but we both have really busy jobs, so we haven’t talked in a while. Plus, she moved really far away on top of that.
But thanks to this thread, I’ll email her today:)

I haven’t, but I think it’d be fun. My area isn’t super active on Weddingbee, unfortunately.

The three bees I know one is an acquaintance whose pictures I recoginze and it matches up with her city I see her posting all over the place. I don’t know why but I never said anything to her, and I doubt she knows I’m on here because I haven’t posted my pictures, another is a friend who got married a few years ago and doesn’t realy come on here anymore. Another is my cousin who I told about the bee, she rarely post and basically came here to look at peoples diy and get ideas.

@Seashells7: You are not alone in thinking that! I wonder all of the time! I know of one bee who lives near me, but she won’t reveal who she is because I beleive she said she was having some kind of problem.. Which is fine! That’s why it’s a confidential thing unless you decide it not to be! Hopefully I will get to meet some bees!
