I went off the pill in July and we didn’t plan to start trying till January but we let one slip on our honeymoon in December and I am now 20 weeks pregnant. I am 34 going on 35 in June and have low AMH. Feeling very blessed.

It took us 3 cycles (3 months) to get pregnant. I was 31 when we conceived, but I miscarried at 20 weeks. We have to wait 3 months to try again and I”ll be 32. Hopefully, it will be just as quick, but last until 40 weeks.

I’m not voting b/c we haven’t TTC yet, but I’m interested in the responses. I’ll be 31 when we start trying, fingers cross 32 when we have a kid.

Why don’t you have an option for “never?”

ETA: well, I guess it could fall under 2+ years, but if you’re trying to get an accurate sampling, then it seems to me like there is quite a difference between “never” and “2.5” years.

You don’t have any choice for between 1.5 and 2 years, but I think (hope) that’s what it will be for me.  (I’m 31…started at 30.)

My SIL is 38 and got pregnant without tracking her ovulation on month 2.

I was technically 29 when we started, but it took us a year and a half with 2 miscarriages in between.

I am 32. We technically started trying in January, but timing and ovulation was off and I got pregnant in March.

I had 3 miscarriages. The first two were unplanned. We then started trying and on my 3rd cycle I got pregnant and had another loss. It took another 8 months after the 3rd loss to get pregnant and I’m now 32 weeks.

I’m 38 and we’re on month 17. I did a medicated cycle  IUI yesterday so we’ll see in two weeks.  We went off the pill on the end of October 2010 and got serious with trying in April 2011 and had no luck and cycles started getting weird, I saw one Gyn in June and she gave we some advice and said to try some more. I saw another GYN in November who started me done the testing road and we did a clomid cycle in January which failed so it was off to the RE.

Wow, I find it amazing that ~50% of the people who have answered the poll so far conceived within the first 4 months!  I’m 34 and yesterday my GYN casually told me, “well could happen the first time, could take a year”.  At my age I was kind of expecting it to take 8+ months.
