So, I was sure that the second dress below was the one. I loved the ruching and corset and how it sucks me in… Love the dramatic bottom.. Love the bling.
Then I had one more appointment and I found the beauty below. I loved all the bling, especially at the bust. I’m not really a lace gal but the detail is gorgeous! The train is so beautiful and I love that this dress sparkles everywhere.
I cant decide! I love the bottom of the second dress more, but maybe would love the bodice more if it had the decals all over, in other words, more bling. Also, I feel like the first dress may accentuate my hips too much and make them look bigger.
Both are basically equal in price.
I need help! 🙁

I prefer the silhouette of the second dress on you. Although it has a little more going on than I would desire if I were choosing a dress now (vs. the one I chose five years ago when I was engaged), I think it is overall more flattering than the first dress. I do love the lace on the first dress, however.

The first dress gives you a great shape and makes “the ladies” very va-va-voom!!!!!! It’s much more flattering than dress two IMO

Both look great, and you do not look like you have big hips! If you like the fluffy bottom but want more bling, get a blingy headband and big blingy jewels, think Kardashian. Don’t play it safe with the jewelry! It’ll be great.

I am going to say neither…because while I love the first dress, I do think it emphasises your curves a lot more. I don’t think this is a bad thing…but I wonder whether you could find a lace/beaded gown with that same glamorous old Hollywood look that balances your silhouette out a bit more. The second gown is more flattering, but I don’t like it as much as the first – the messiness at the bottom is distracting, and I’m personally not a fan of lace-up backs.

@Buckeyegirl: I like, no make that love, the fabric of the first one.
You’ve got a killer figure and will look great in either.

The first dress looks too tight. Also, I really like the back of the second one.

@MrsPanda99: Yeah, the dresses are not in the right size so they’d look slightly different when altered.
I want the fit and flare shape but not anything that would make me look curvier than I already am.
I feel like picking between two dresses is such a first world problem, but a problem nonetheless!
Bah.. I don’t know how I’ll decide.

For my taste, I would go with the first one, but from your descriptions I think you should definitely go with the second. You might regret not going for the drama of that second skirt. The extra bling you can always add with accessories 🙂
Are you running out of time to order? Maybe you could still find another dress with the best of both worlds?

@Buckeyegirl: is the stardust celebrations that you tried on the dress? Definitely the first dress, it’s gorgeous on you

@Buckeyegirl: I think that dress #1 is a much prettier dress overall with the gorgeous lace, sparkle, and details. I like how you look in both dresses, but honestly, I do think you look thinner in dress #2. I only say this because you asked about your hips. Is dress #1 as photographed too small? It may be that the sample is accentuating your hips like that because it’s just not big enough, and I think that dress #1 in a larger size might be a perfect solution. You could have the prettier dress and have it flatter your hips. A bigger dress could be altered and brought in at the waist, so it would still show off your small middle, while allowing a nicer silhouette over your hips.

I prefer dress #2. You have a very pretty shape in it.

@Buckeyegirl: I can feel your dilemma! I went back and forth between them but voted 1 it’s one stunning dress and I love the shape on you. Let us know what you decide.

may I ask what dress it is?
