I say 161 because, as you know, that’s my ring ahah ๐Ÿ˜‰ but 144 is also really pretty! It just depends on the look you’re going for.

These were the two designs I was going back and forth on too! I finally decided on 161 (but the wedding set) basically because of sugarpea’s awesome photos ๐Ÿ™‚ We just ordered on Wednesday and I cannot wait to get it!

Even though I really like miligrain on rings I prefer the one without in this case! Great choices!

i just ordered ENG 144 on sunday!! i, like you, was really torn. i’m still not sure if i made the right decision.  actually, i let SO choose between the two, and he went with 144. my main concern is how the bridge will look when it meets the prongs…. i really hope it looks okay. :/  i think if you’re getting a .75ct center stone, you should go with 161. i think that the gap between the bridge would look too wide with that size stone. i’m hoping that since i got 1.5ct, the gap will be minimal/nonexistant.

161 looks like a shared prong setting? Shared prong settings can have issues as they leave the girdles of the diamonds exposed. Depending on the particular setting, if you got a matching band the diamonds’ girdles of both bands could rub up against each other and cause wear to both the diamonds and the metal. You can avoid that by getting a spacer to wear in between or having the bands soldered together.
