i think that if i were going to add a sparkly/blingy anything to that dress, i’d do it under the bust line (not at the waist)… with the way the material draping changes twice already as you go from top to bottom (at bust and at skirt), i think adding a waistline sash chops you up visually… but adding one under the bustline would be very pretty, i think! ๐Ÿ™‚

@anotheroneofmany:  exactly. And I would *consider* removing the flower if I added a sash. Or consider trying to match the sash with the applique on the leaf of the flower.

Have you tried this dress on? I imagine the salon would have something you could tie on.

I agree with adding your bling under the bust. It keeps the integrity of the dropped waist. Like the infamous adorae:

Or my dress:

Keep the long and lean part loooking clean!

Here it is a few times with sashes on the waist and under the bust that I did really quick..

I really love the flower. I think it could look nice with the right sash. If you do remove the flower, I would replace it with a nice brooch or crystal applique so that that slit flows from it like it does the flower

I think just a thin sash under the bust would look the best. It would flow better rather then breaking the dress into 3 parts (the seam under the bust, the sash, and then the skirt).
