@SoontobeMrsKB:  Mine really was not a typical bridal look, but I LOVED my necklace with my dress and got a ton of compliments on it. I chose emerald/jade to go with a bridal set passed down from my grandma (I wore the earrings and her bracelet.)

I chose to keep it simple and sentimental with my jewelry. I wore a single strand of pearls around my neck and pearl and diamond earrings, which DH’s grandmother gave me. They had been given to her by DH’s grandfather decades prior. I also wore an engraved anklet in my hair, because the clasp was broken. It was secured above where my veil was placed, but sadly I have no photos of it. The anklet was given to my grandmother from my grandfather when they first began dating in the ’50s. My mom gave it to me on my wedding day.

@SoontobeMrsKB:  Thank you!  It was fun combining the old with the new.

My jewelery is really, really simple.

My necklace looks like this, except it’s an antique from my grandmother (my something old and my something borrowed):

My earrings look a little like this, except there’s a post behind the bow and the pearls dangle a little:

And the bracelet:

The earrings I wore were my memere’s (who has passed away).  I wanted to wear something of hers since she couldn’t be there.  They were very old, but I had them reset into lever backs.

The necklace was a wedding gift from my dad.  My sister and I each got a necklace for our wedding day that he had specially made.

So both pieces had sentimental value.

the pictures do not do justice , especially for the earings. but the ring and earings are gold , with diamonds and real opals ( with tiny hints of sparkle and colour green and firery red ). still not sure if ièm going to wear the necklace, there is another one  I have in mind but I want to see which goes better with my dress flowers and head piece.

Something blue for the service: iolite set in silver from etsy. A real bargain. Small and delicate like wearing a single pearl. Changes its shade of blue/violet in different lights.

More sparkly for the reception. Makes me feel like a princess even if it is only cubic zirconia not diamond

Sorry about the image sizes, my touchpad has had it.

I found the iolite pendant first an thought it would be great with dress but then found the siver, cubic zirconia set. Love both sets, can’t decide between the two.
