There is a Google Chrome extension called “High Contrast” which basically converts white backgrounds to black and black text to white.
Unfortunately, my laptop is owned by my employer and I don’t have authority to install Google Chrome extensions and can’t personally test it out. Hope it helps someone.

I am using high contrast mode in Windows 7 + Internet Explorer now. Here is how WB looks in high contrast mode:

There’s another one called night reading mode which lets you set the brightness and contrast to your personal preference. I think High Contrast messed with people’s pics for me, but night reading mode doesn’t. I can also set it to gray and white which is easier for me to read.
