I am all for flower crowns! My mum actually wore one on her wedding day about 30 years ago so I don’t get the ‘they are so 8 years ago’ train.

I just feel like everyone should go with what they love, I don’t understand why people always seem to be worried something will date their photos. Everything will date your wedding photos!

chitownyogini :  I wore one for my wedding and I loved it.

I never envisioned myself with one, but when the time came, everything just made me feel I wanted it, and couldn’t be happier with  my decission.

Do what your heart tells you 🙂

Here’s a picture of us from behind where you can see the details in mine.

I think they can be really cute but I tend to favor the more delicate ones over the bigger ones. And I hate the super big ones!

This might sound weird, but I think my opinion of flower crowns depends on the person wearing it. If I know the person and they really are a free spirit and go with the boho/hippy style or lifestyle day-to-day, I think it would look good. However, if the friend is more traditional or modern-minded, I think it would look trendy or forced.

I would ask some good friends who will be honest with you. They can probably tell you if a flower crown “fits” you or not. (Also, take your dress and venue into consideration.)

(I’m phrasing these personality types poorly – sorry, I can’t seem to find the words I mean.)

They aren’t my style at all. A very simple crown can be pretty is that is the brides and the wedding style.

I thought at first you were talking about flower girls. Not a fan for adults but you do you.

I love them. Obviously not the “I took the wreath off the front door & decided to wear it on my head” variety; but smaller flower crowns can be quite elegant.

If you’re on the fence how about putting a few flowers in your hair? Perhaps tucking a bloom in your bun or behind your ear? I’ve thought about it but I feel that my dress is too ornate that it would be too much for the overall look. However, I do plan on purchasing a flower halo for the flower girl who will love it!

I think they’re hard to pull off and most people don’t wear them well.  I think they look cute on little kids, but I can’t recall seeing many adults who I thought they looked good on.

chitownyogini :  awww, thank you sweetie 🙂

My wedding was in Sicily and brides over there don’t usually go the flower crown way, they tend to be more traditional. I’ve seen many wear tiaras and updoes. However, I just felt it was right for me, and wearing it just made me feel the most special girl in the world.

chitownyogini :  One of my friends had one and it looked so gorgeous on her, she got married in the woods and had a bohemian style dress and a simple flower crown. I definitely think it can be done right! I would order one and just see how you feel in it.
