Cool, what’s working for Amazon like? 😜

I work at a donation center for a mentoring organization part time – Thurs, Sat-Sun 8am-6pm. The rest of the week I’m in school.

Working for Amazon sounds interesting. I am a dietitian and I work at a STR/LTC facility full time Mon-Fri 8:30-4:30.

I work in college athletics so my hours can be crazy. During the summer/off season I work regular 8-5 hours.

During the fall I work 8-5 Mon-Thurs, about 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Fridays, often 9 hours on Saturday and about 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Sundays. Those are the weekends I’m home. About every other weekend I travel Thursday-late Sunday.

Things are a little easier in the winter but I still travel every other weekend. And often work home events Friday night and Saturday.

I work for a government contract defense engineering company.  We work 9/80 Fridays  (9 hrs Mon- Thur, 8 hrs every other Friday).  Day begins usually around 730-8 and ends 5-530 (I used to be more of a 9 or 10 to 6 or 7, but getting home that late sucks), but there’s no set schedule as long as you’re there during most of the core hours of 9-3 and do your 9 hours a day.

I’m a teacher and I get to school by 7:45 am, and I usually leave by 5:30 pm.  Most days I bring work home, and most weekends.  Like this weekend I have probably 6-8 hours worth of work yet to do.  In the summers I often go to school to clean things out, organize, make bulletin boards for the next year, plan for the next year, etc.  I also often do professional development in the summers.

Working at Amazon seems super interesting!

I’m an ER nurse and I work 4 days a week with rotating weekends 3:00pm-11:30pm, although I’ll hopefully be switching to 3 days a week (with rotating weekends) 3:00pm-3:30am.

Allthatglitters07:  I work for a major healthcare company in the mid Atlantic region.

I’m salaried, so I almost always work at least 45-50 hours a week. Sometimes upwards of 60 hours. I usually get to work between 6 am and 7 am, and I leave between 4 pm and 6 pm depending on how crazy of a day it is. When my department is behind on their goals, I usually go in on the weekends too for about 4-5 hours.

I’m a week away from finishing up school, but I will be working for a Forest Licencee Monday – Friday and generally work 7am to 4-5pm. Before that I was working piece rate and would work 7am to about 6pm on an average day but some longer some shorter. I would work shifts anywhere from 3 days to 20 days straight.
