Hey! I’ve been. I hadn’t seen the show more than once and wasn’t super excited to go, actually, because I had found so many dresses I’d liked but nothing perfect and didn’t want that kind of pressure, but it was awesome.

I had two younger women, and I told them my budget and style and they didn’t push at all. I went with a small group, just with my aunt, and we had a really lovely time. The selection was great – I ended up with an Alita Graham that was the perfect combination of everything I liked previously. I got it 35% off, too, which was a plus!

I’m actually going back this weekend to try on headpieces with the dress (though, I’m sure I can find them cheaper elsewhere…). All in all, it was great. Wonderful consultants, no rush, great options, and a fun experience. The showroom floor was as crazy and fun as it seems like it would be!

Have a great time! Do you know what you’re looking for there?

Oooh! Nice. I tried on #31970981 and 32277535 and really liked them. So light and flowy! Her dresses are so well made. Those Henry Roth dresses are gorgeous, too – I think the second one is stunning! I bet they’ll also be able to pull some dresses that you like.

Mine is #32174161. Its a lot better and more detailed in person (the lighting in those shots is weird to me, it shows nothing!). Its all lace, with re-embroidered fringy lace on the bottom. I love it. It was actually a dress someone had ordered and then never picked up.

We had a really small dressing room, and then only went out to the floor if I really liked something, so don’t be surprised if that happens to you, too!

I had an appointment at Kleinfeld a couple weeks ago. My consultant was great! She listened to everything I had to say about the type of dress that I wanted, didn’t pressure me at all to buy, and even picked out some wildcard dresses that I really liked. While I didn’t end up buying my dress there, I had a pretty good experience. The only thing you should watch out for is the price. I was told that all of the gowns that I tried on would need to be lengthened and the bust taken out, which would have added an extra $400 to the final bill. Add that to the $700 for alterations, the price became way too high for me.

@AstoriaKatie: Woah, $700 for alterations! That’s crazy. I should say that I lucked out – the dress was an unworn sample and it fit perfectly, save hemming and a bustle. I can see price and alterations being an issue there, for sure.

I’ve been twice! Once for my Maid/Matron of Honor and once for me. Kleinfelds has a HUGE gown selection which makes it overwhelming at first but the consultants are super helpful and knowledgeable so long as you have an idea of what type of dress you are interested in. I think it’s a great place to go if you have a vision and you’ve already been to one or two (or more) bridal shops but haven’t found The One yet. However, if you’ve never tried on a dress or have no idea what you’re interested in, it could get a little a little frustrating for both you and the consultant.

I worked with Jessica and she was fantastic. She pulled a bunch of dresses within or well below my price range that fit my “specifications.” She even gave me the option of doing a “runway show” in the main room to show dresses to my mom and bridesmaids (which of course I did!). I felt no pressure to purchase anything.

I can’t remember the name of the consultant that worked with my Maid/Matron of Honor but she was great as well. She actually let me into the backroom to help search for dresses although that was awhile ago. Not sure if that is kosher anymore.

Pricewise, they charge slightly more for the same dresses that I’ve seen at other shops. Alterations are more expensive. I was quoted $500-700.

All in all, it was a fun experience. Hopefully you’ll find your dress there!

Hey! I bought my gown at Kleinfelds last October and you are allowed to take your dress elsewhere to have it altered if you choose.
