I think if you are having implantation bleeding then you can take a home pregnancy test.  Go get a digital one if you want to be for sure or even a cheap one from the dollar store.

To be safe I would call my OB/GYN and ask his/her nurse their opinion.  And it wouldn’t hurt to take a HPT even though it is more than 5 days before you are due for AF.  Sometimes there is enough hcg to be detected that early and sometimes there isn’t.

I would take another high quality HPT and take it first thing in the morning.  Its still early to test but the better tests may pick something up if its there and you use early morning urine.

If you think something is wrong though go to the ER.

Are you on base? If not, the on-campus clinic probaby takes Tricare. If not, you don’t have to see a women’s clinic–any regular doctor should be able to see you and if they think it’s necessary, they can send you somewhere else and get it approved by Tricare

Having your period arrive early or late like that can happen, particularly if you are under a lot of stress or going through some major changes in your life.  Sometimes diet and exercise can have a big impact on the timing of that.  I would relax for now and tomorrow when you go in, express your concerns and see what happens.  It does little good, especially if you are very concerned this is a pregnancy, to worry right now until you know for sure.  Deep, calming thoughts coming your way!

after being on the same BCPs for years, i randomly started bleeding between periods. after many months of testing, anxiety, switching to different BCPs, it ended up being that I just needed to switch to a pill with a higher dose of hormones. sometimes your body just adjusts and your regular pill doesn’t do it anymore.

i would consult a doctor, but i wouldn’t worry too much unless you start bleeding very heavily. if you are very regular normally, 7-8 days early for a period is a lot – even with stress and other factors. but if its at all helpful, i was told this happens to many woman. it also doesn’t sound like implantation bleeding to me – from everything i’ve read, its supposed to be very light brown spotting. and also not that common.
