Zoom the teeth whitening process?

I got it done like three years ago.  It did hurt because of the sensitivity, but I didn’t have to take any Vicodin for it.  I honestly don’t remember how long it took for the sensitivity to go away.  Maybe a few days?  It just really sucked having to only eat non colored things so that your teeth don’t get that color stained on.  I definitely had way more pain after having my wisdom teeth pulled out than having my teeth whitened. Lol.  Your teeth must be extra sensitive.  Just be careful, it’ll be over soon and you’ll have beautiful, white teeth!  I want to do it again since it’s been several years, but I don’t think I can.. probably too soon.  🙁

I’m doing this in May and these posts always scare me! I hope it stops hurting you soon, though.

You need fluoride..when I got mine whitened they gave me a mouth tray and some gel fluoride and until I used it I was in pain too (although I did use the Zoom that is for more sensitive teeth). After that it really took the edge off…maybe call and ask the dentist if they can give you something similar?

What really scared me about getting Zoom done was that I have TMJ (a jaw disorder that I got the second braces were glued onto my teeth back in 8th grade) and you have to be in the chair under the laser for an hour with your mouth open with that clamp thing in your mouth.  THAT sucked so much because my jaw would hurt and I wanted to close it to relax my jaw, but couldn’t.  The last 15 minutes felt like forever because I was getting very antsy and needed that clamp out asap so I could relax my jaw!  I really though my jaw was going to lock up on me.  Thank god it didn’t!  That’s the only thing that still scares me if I want to get it done again later down the line.

Or maybe sensodyne or something similar try smearing it on your teeth and leave on for a few minutes?? Or there is numbing gel for teeth, no idea what it is called though, but should be at pharmacy.

I am posting this suggestion in a very serious manner, medicinal marajuana is a great pain killer. I can NOT handle Vicodin either and my body builds a tolerance to morphene and other pain meds very quickly. I hear medicinal is an option.

I did it once and the only thing that made it better is taking a xanax and sleeping through the pain.  It was excruciating.  never again.

Sorry you’re going through this.

Just wanted to say I had zoom done today and it hurt like crap! I can’t believe I didn’t know about this going in! I knew my teeth might be “sensitive” afterwards, but I had no idea. The pain now is tolerable, but I got these intense, sharp pains towards the end of the procedure that hurt so much that I hit the light away and stopped. My Fiance is in pretty extreme pain tonight from it also. Be careful! (Our teeth are so white though!)

Before I got married, I really wanted to get Zoom, but couldn’t afford it.  Now I’m glad I didn’t!
