After 2 weeks of talking on eHarmony we knew this was going somewhere and we decided to meet. But we lived far apart in small towns, so we both flew to a big city halfway in between and spent a weekend there. That was 4 weeks after we were matched on eHarmony. It was the craziest and best thing I’d ever done.

About 2 months. I wanted to establish enough of a rapport with him to make sure he was worth it. I married him, so I guess he was.

It took about six months for us to meet in person. We play a lot of video games so I’d been chatting to him for ages without there being anything between us. Eventually he flew interstate for a “holiday” (I know I was the only reason he came ) and we’ve been together six years since. For the Alliance!

We were message board buddies for about 6 months (a Mizzou sports message board) ..and then we figured out we had a lot in common, so we started talking more one-on-one in November 2010. That slowly developed into us realizing we really liked one another, and we finally met in April 2011 and made it official in June 2011.

- Wedding: June 2013 - Country Club
We had like 3 emails exchanged lol. 🙂 We started talking right before Thanksgiving (as in, he sent me an email and I responded), and we went on our first date on December 4.

We started talking in January 2002 when I was 17 and met in person in March…so about two months. And we just got married in June on our 10 year anniversary.

We met four weeks after we started communicating online

One day. He had “winked” at me on match. I sent him an email on a Saturday, he replied that day. Our first date Sunday night(I met him at his church for their evening service). That first date lasted 9 hours! He had just signed up for Match the Thursday before we met.
He cancelled his membership the next day after our date 🙂

Can I just say that I am shocked at how many “well-known” bees have met their SOs online? I have to pretend we didn’t around about half my family because they think you only meet people online if you’re desperate and/or crazy.

He was in Iraq when we first started talking. We talked for a few weeks, then we met about a week after he got back home. It just took off from there 🙂

My fiance and I met in real life nine years after meeting online! It will be 10 years when we get married. It wasn’t a dating website though, and we were on opposite sides of the country.
But really all that time talking and being best friends let us know each other so well on the inside. 🙂

Three weeks from first meeting online to meeting in real life. And his grandma died during our first date, so we went out of town for a week and our second date was the day he came back.

A few months. He found me on myspace, but I wasn’t ready to date anyone then.

@Cornmuffin09: Same way with my family.
We met after about 3 weeks but talked on the phone every day up to that point. We lived in the same county so it wasn’t a distance issue…I just wanted to make sure I really wanted to meet him. 🙂
