(Closed) bees who lost a lot of weight!

I’ve lost 20kg (around 45 pounds) in 6 months doing several rounds of Michelle Bridges 12 Week Body Transformation. 1200 calories per day (lean protein, fruit and veg, low fat dairy, good carbs) and 6 workouts per week plus additional walking. I can’t recommend it enough!

“A lot” is kind of a relative term. I lost 25lbs, which for me is a lot since I’m only 4’10”. I cut out all processed food except for bread, yogurt, whole wheat pasta and cheese. I don’t eat anything packaged or from a box other than these items – everything else is fresh. I also followed a 1200 calorie diet and have been working out – boxing, http://www.hundredpushups.com, and light weights. Honestly the 1200 cals has always worked for me when needing to lose, but this time around is completely different. Since I got rid of the processed food I crave absolutely nothing. Ever. I’m typically a sweets & carbs girl so usually I would have a weakness for those types of things and splurge on whatever Fiance had around. But now – yes I will say a doughnut looks good or pizza sounds good, but I don’t really have any desire to eat it at all. I can leave it without any effort whatsoever and never have any type of food craving. Its really weird, but I have read that the chemicals in processed foods are designed to make you crave more of those types of things. After trying this I can say that I agree with that 100%.

I’ve lost 103 pounds in the past year and a 1/2.  I cut out all processed sugar and simple carbs for the first ~50-60 pounds and then cut out all gluten and most dairy as well as almost all processed foods for the rest.  In the past 3 month, I’ve added consistent excercise in the form of walking a couple of miles with my husband each day and I’ve been building that up even more by walking 2-7 miles on my own and then doing my walks with him.  

Like the poster above me, I really don’t crave things anymore.  I used to be a HUGE sugar, cheese, bread girl, and now I’m perfectly happy with fruits, veggies and meats!

Cardio has been key for me! I have lost 17.5 lbs in just 6 weeks. I do cardio 4 days a week and strength training 2 days a week. I only consume 1400 calories. I limit bread and don’t eat pasta at all.
