Just for fun!
Fiance and I met in college (I was 19, he was 20) when we both worked at a little restaurant where I was the hostess and he the waiter. After that I had little odd jobs here and there like walking dogs, reselling on eBay, call center, etc. and Fiance worked part time selling insurance during the week and stocking shelves at a grocery store on the weekends. Lol!
post college, we are both accountants.
I remember it used to seem so rough back then eating ramen noodles and having no cable, but truth be told I love reminiscing over it and think they were some of the best days!

Fiance and I met our freshman year of high school, we were both 14 and didn’t (couldn’t) have jobs then lol. Now we’re in college and I work as a server and he works at a fast food restaurant. We’re currently in our ramen noodle and no cable phase and truth be told, it’s great!

We met our freshman year of college. We were both 18. We were full time students during the school year. I was a lifeguard/nanny during the summers and he had an admin job working for the state’s water department.
Now he’s getting his PhD in immunology and pathology and I’m an adjunct instructor at a university one town over.

He was a collision repair tech, I was a student and a cashier at Giant Eagle.
Now, I’m 26 and he is 31, he sells automotive repair supplies and I’m a paralegal.

We met when I was 19 and he was 22. We were both juniors at the time. He worked for a debt collection company releasing housing liens for people who filed for bankruptcy, and also as a car valet downtown on the weekends. I worked a number of jobs — nanny, jewelry maker, and camp counselor were the main ones.
We both became teachers, although now I am in grad school and back to doing the nanny thing. He’s a high school psychology teacher. Hopefully a few years down the line we’ll both be professors.

We met when we were both 20 in our second year of university. I worked at the stadium serving refreshments, he worked during the summer at the university in his hometown (not our university) and he did a bit of everything. When we finished university he continued that job for a few months and I worked in a kids play centre for a few months. He got a job as a tax accountant and has been doing that ever since. I’ve worked in the utility and environment sectors, now I work for a utility company as an environmental advisor.
We didn’t do so badly when we were at university as we managed our maintenance grants well (UK). We had our no money period when we first graduated, I was on a quite good salary but 2/3 of my salary was going on to commuting and my husband was earning basically a minimum wage (they called it a training wage). We had so little money and I don’t know how we coped, especially now when our pay is higher but we don’t seem to have excessively more. It just shows how you can live within your means and as your means expand so do your perceived needs (although we do now have fur babies who cost us a fortune).

winterbride19x : We met when I was 16 and he was 20, but I don’t think it was that much of an age difference. I work as a waitress making ends meet but want to be an actress some day. My SO works as a photographer. I think our career goals could really mesh someday.

Fiance and I met when we were 17, first year out of high school. I was at university, he was at TAFE. I was working retail (newsagency) and he didn’t work as he was at TAFE Monday to Friday. Later that year he started his current job (store person) for a small machine parts & repairs company. He has been there almost 9 years!
My job now is as a tax consultant though I don’t have any shifts as it is out of season, but I do have a weekly PD course that I get paid for, until it finishes next week. Tax season is fast approaching so I’m sure I will be very busy soon. Fiance is certainly the one with the more steady long-term job out of the two of us!
